Hi! I have just began a medical coding class through a local community college. I am a complete newbie to medical coding. I have watched a few of your videos and I can see that I will definitely benefit from your channel. Your way of explaining everything makes understanding all of the coding process so much less stressful. Thanks!
I am Mrs Sabeeha Maroof from Pakistan.I have just made up my mind to do medical coding.I am planning to have my exam in the UAE.Thank you so much for the informative videos.
Hi I currently attending UMA to became a Medical biller and coding. Now with your class that I could become a medical biller and coding in six months, I don’t know if I should continue with UMA.
I just started my AAPC courses and when I spoke with them no one let me know hey you gotta keep a membership and renew your ceus to keep your certification. So now I'm confused
You're really doing great work ma'am! I'm also running a Medical Billing channel for Pakistan and Indian viewers. I'll looking forward to learn from your channel too. Thank you.
Hello, I'm curious about how remote work functions. Do companies have a specific schedule for work hours, or is it more flexible where you can work at any time as long as the work is completed within the day? Additionally, can working part-time help remove the apprenticeship status, just like it happens with full-time work? For instance, if I work part-time for 24 months, will the A be removed, or does it still take 12 months, even when working part-time? I hope I have explained everything clearly. I am new to medical coding and trying to transition into this field while keeping my current full-time job in a different industry.
I just signed up for preppy about a week ago, and I have to say I am shocked to find that the material has lots of grammatical errors and after doing more research, I've seen several people complain that they are using outdated information in the coding section (which I haven't gotten to yet). Can anyone please offer any insight? I know Victoria is the go to person for all things medical coding, so I am shocked to see that she endorses a program such as this. Can anyone offer any insight? I am hearing so many different things about the program and other programs too. I am considering getting my money back.
I would love to know more about this. I am looking into doing the program with Preppy but still trying to figure out if it would be worth it, and how the quality would be. Can’t go through AHIMA or AACP with their insane prices so Preppy would be my only option
Oh wow! I didn't know that about the corporate membership! I was paid until August of 2025 but now my membership is due August of 2024. So what happens to the money I already paid before I started my coding job?
Had a question about the CMS WBT. On the webpage at the top it says "We no longer offer continuing education credits for our web-based training (WBT) courses." So can I assume that this applies to medical coders?
Hi! What's the difference between AAPC and AHIMA? Are they both ok or should I go more towards one specifically? Are employers too hard on that? Thank you!!
@ContempoCoding Thank you! I also sent you a DM on IG and an email. Sorry, but I'm new in this, and I would like to get all the info that I need. I appreciate you!
Only those earned during the same month you are renewing. "CEUs must be earned and submitted within your two-year renewal period. Excess CEUs do not carry over to the next renewal period. Is there anyone working for the Federal government (VA) in the coding/HIM field that knows how to access aporoved free ceus through TMS or another educational resource ?
There isn't a job like medical coding specifically for veterinarians. The whole insurance and billing works differently for pets than it does for humans!
No. You do not need and can not earn CEUs prior to getting a certification. Ref: www.aapc.com/support/ceus/may-i-use-education-completed-prior-to-obtaining-my-certification
I like listening to the monthly Humana webinars. They’re only an hour, lots of info for every specialty and one CEU for each one with no quizzes. 🎉
Love it. Do you get those via email or is there a link you can share???
can you share the link pls?
@@Kikay1122 I’ve tried and it won’t accept my response. You have to email one of the webinar people and they can send you the schedule for the year.
How we mail them
@@itsmeaimster6698 Hi can you please share where I can get the info for the webinar people to contact and sign up for Humana webinars? TIA

For the most accurate answer, please contact AAPC customer service. www.aapc.com/about-us/contact
Same here it should be for 2 years but now showing as of 2024.

They do not apply for credit - they need to be manually added to your CEU tracker with no index number.

I thought you could roll over CEUs if the excess CEUs are close to your due date.
