Late to the party but thankyou so much! Perfectly explained and demonstrated. I wasted so much time watching over complicated vids on how to do to this then I stumbled across your video. Much appreciated! Subbed!
Very welcome, and thank you for the feedback. When I make these I get so emotionally invested in the edit that I'm never sure if I get the message across the best way. So good to know it landed correctly. 👍👍
Thank you, This works perfect, previously when I typed the command in chat it wouldnt stop the counter, it just kept going forever..lol...but your video helped me fix it.
Followed this step by step using channel points instead of commands, and I'm running into an issue where trying to output the variable to text doesn't show numbers, just the variable in the text field; in my case %cheeseCount% is the only text that shows, and trying to send a chat message with the same variable set does the same thing Unsure if it just doesn't work the same for channel point redeems?
Awsome I'm glad the video is still helping people 👍🔘 I will be doing more how to guides from some of the features I use in my streams so make sure you stick around buddy.
@@bozombie115 appreciate it, we have a good few streamerbot users in the community and we all help each other with coding issues etc. so definitely stick around. I'm also thinking of making a dedicated streamerbot section in the discord server as more and more are joining the community
Thank you so much for the video. Easy to follow also for an italian streamer XD. I wanted to ask you two things: 1- How do I set it up so that the chat command can only be used once by the user? 2- How do I set it up so that when I reset, all users can use the chat command again?
Thank you for the kind words, makes making these worthwhile. What is it you are trying to use it for? Possibly like a points redemption type of thing? I'll be honest I'm not sure 100 how to do that but I can share the streamerbot discord and they have an excellent help section with the team who can help more than me.
So the code part is working from chat to streamerbot but not getting to OBS. Do you have them connected. Have you selected the correct GDI text source in OBS in streamerbot ?
@@TerribleGamingWithTG Oh My 2nd comment did not make it but I figured it out after 30minutes. I added my Twitch Reward through the program and ticked persist counter and persist counter user. Then everytime I redeemed it, it worked on my obs.
I have a couple of really stupid questions .. 1) Do I have to be on the latest version of OBS for this to work? 2) can I adapt this for a death counter?
There is no such thing as stupid questions. No you don't need the latest version for it to work. As long as it connects. Try this one it's a simpler one more like the death counter ruclips.net/video/fpMIQ9sjIVg/видео.htmlsi=FRhmawuTXz8nwLzp
Love this quick and easy tutorials! thank you. im having trouble resetting the OBS counter though? when i do !rst it goes to 0 but when i put another count in chat, the number goes back to original +1 in the obs img. anyway to go about that?
That's an issue in OBS, you either have it transformed to flip of you have manually changed it by dragging the bounding box, delete it and re add it if you struggle

Excellent I am so happy it helped you 👍👍 thank you for watching it. And I hope the subathon goes well 👍
Omg thank you for showing this tutorial for the counter, even specifically for StreamerBot!
You are very welcome 🤗

Should work fine. Only reason for it is if it doesn't know what that variable is as in you called it something else.
mate this is great
Appreciate it again mate, these get alot of watch hours as they stay ever green content which is nice.
@@TerribleGamingWithTG yeah that’s true, love it mate

For me the OBS text stays at 0, but when I check my variable the non-persistant globals is at 3 and keep going up normally

@@TerribleGamingWithTGThanks! I am on it! :)
Any issues just ask I'll help where I can
Oddly enough - when I add new commands, there is no drop down for actions. There used to be, but not anymore.
@@gamerscircle what version of SB you using
Great stuff

Mine doesn't do that. Do you have persisted unticked? As I start each stream by resetting my counters then the chat starts adding them on again.
Yes I have persisted unchecked. Maybe I’ll try to redo the obs img again and start from the beginning. Will let you know! Thank you
For some reason it is outputting the number backwards for one of my counters. any idea why?
Backwards as in visually the number is mirrored?
yeah@@TerribleGamingWithTG
