Ridge Racer 1993 Full Arcade Playthrough │ 30th Anniversary! │MAME

The Ridge Racer series turns 30 today! To celebrate, I decided to fire up the original arcade release from 1993 which debuted on this same day as this playthrough in Japan (30th October, 1993). Myself and many others are still waiting for this legendary franchise to make a comeback for the modern era, hopefully Bandai Namco can make it happen someday!
Played using MAME, please note there are some graphical inconsistencies which are not visible on real hardware. Thanks for watching.

Love ridge racer, love it so much I'm building a fullscale ridge racer arcade in my home, the game is awsome.
I love the announcer on ridge racer he lent his voice to several other namco games at the time, he sounded so pumped like he did a couple lines before each recording session lol.😂

0:36 that swing ish down beat throws the beat off but once you catch that it doesn’t sound off beat in the beginning

Yeah I've noticed this too, it's a really cool rhythmic trick. I feel like the second phrase is syncopated and that's how you want to hear it, but the first time it's played, it's delayed by a quarter note
