  • A Nessmuk style knife has always intrigued me. That big ol belly and sweeping curves and a flat grind make such a handy companion to have on your side. making a Solid knife for many tasks. L.T. Wright has put their made in the USA expertise to work into making this awesome EDC Fixed Blade that is a fantastic Camping companion that you can take hunting or even to grannies house!

    LT Wright is one of my favorite companies. Absolutely love their AEB-L especially

      It sure does make a difference when a company \ maker takes the time to master the heat treatment and edge geometry. So many people are relying on the new steel to be an easy solution for the best knife. However I have seen great cpm steels not treated to their potential perform poorly. Then you have small passionate makers just making killer blades with last century's steels. Lol. Thank you for taking the time to comment. I greatly appreciate it.

      Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. It is now one of my favorite knives to grab when I help cut up the taters and onions. As well as the rest of the food to feed my small army. LOL Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment. I greatly appreciate it.

    Great blade! I think that blade steel is A2. I think LTWK uses the L stamp for AEB-L

      You are correct it is and I misspoke. I have the small northern hunter in AEB-L. I really do like the Camp Muk a lot. Great knife.

    I don’t think I’ve ever seen someone try to patina a stainless steel, it definitely puts me off ABEL steel considering you were a little successful. I’d prefer a stainless steel to do a little better than that, may as well stick with the A2 steel.

      I miss spoke in the video. It is an A2 steel. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment.

    The Muk looks fine from afar. Close the Mustard patina. Does not look like anything. If I were to do a patina on that knife. I would have covered the whole thing with mustard. Then tried to deepen some spots to make a pattern. You got to make a mess before you make it look good. Try to do an acid etch on the whole thing.

      I need to learn a bit more on acid etching. I will probably buff this down and try again. I think it is fun to try and make my knives a bit more for me. Lol thank you for taking the time to watch and give your feedback. It is greatly appreciated.

      @@fuelediowa I do odd jobs in the art world for a living. Not liking what you make is normal. Just don't mustard as a paint. Use it as a background.

      @@fuelediowa The basics is that you dip the metal into the acid. The amount of time you leave it in. The darker the metal gets. So if you painted tar on the metal first. You keep it from being touched by the acid.

    • @fuelediowa
      @fuelediowa  5 месяцев назад

      Yes but they seem to only come in small batches to a few distributors. Smkw and I think the knife connection have them a bit more often.
