Spectacular views, friendly critters, not so friendly reptiles. Thankful you didn't step on it. The Oregon trail must have been a very dangerous journey for the pioneers! Can't imagine the hardships! Thanks for sharing your journey. Keep safe
Forrester, glad to see this update , so now I know u r okay… Look fwd to watching this video as well as the future videos. NOTE: I have been kinda spoiled as I watch the channel = Kelly Hays Hikes , a group of 5 or 6 twenty-something’s who are doing 25 to 30 miles a day since a little south of Helena. This group is probably in the Winds of just starting the Great Basin, it depends on how many zeros they took in Yellowstone. Have a great day on or off the trail.
I watched Kelly go on her first backpacking trips in Arkansas. Was hoping to meet her. I’m taking a zero here in Darby. Thanks for watching my channel 😁
I don‘t want give too much info on where K‘s tramily is but on her Day 46 video which I think was July 29, they were on the blue line, 9 miles from Island Park
Kelly‘s tramily took an alternate called the Peaches alternate when they were coming into the hitch point for Darby…. Kelly said it was an alternate to bypass so burned area & she said that there was a description ofvthis Peaches alt route in FarOut but I can‘t find it
I would get a SOBO to suck the venom out 😜. I was surprised to see a rattlesnake up so high (near 10,000’). First one since New Mexico. It was pretty chilly out too. Probably why it didn’t strike.
Wow, what a spectacular section of trail.
Yes it was. Had to have a part 2 it was so good. See you soon brother.

Do you put purification stuff in the water, or just rink it the way it comes out of the ground?
I usually purify the water unless it is a very good source up high and away from livestock. I use a sawyer filter or sometimes iodine tablets.
Do those poles help? How?
They help with balance and they hold my tent up as well. They definitely saved me from falling more than once.
