Thanks so much for sharing your journey of the PCT in this great video. The views are truly inspiring. While you were completing your PCT I was completing my 'Virtual' PCT half a world away here on the Isle of Wight. I finished in early January and your Journey and videos helped inspire me to complete mine, thanks so much Craig! Like other comments below I hope you do the CDT in due course as I love the way you bring the Journey that is a long distance trail to life!
Thanks so much for your video. In my life I'll never have the opportunity to hike this trail (I'm from Malaysia), but your video did make me feel I'm there and enjoyed the sceneries.
Absolutely stunning! When I saw your link in one of the groups, I thought wow how will he break it down into five minutes. But you did a masterful job! I’m just a couple years away from a lifelong dream I’ve had since I was 11 years old.
I saw you hearted a comment of mine from 5 years ago 😃. Glad you did I had not seen your PCT hike, friend. Great video. Your A.T. videos helped us in 2019 when we hit the trail. Thanks for sharing.
I was cleaning up old comments and didn’t think anyone would be notified, but I’m so glad you were and that you checked out what I was up to. So nice to know that my AT videos were helpful to you!
I love your videos. You are a born story tellers and cinematographer. This shows what it was like hiking the PCT in 2021. Dry in the south but if I remember you skipped north and had to finish SOBO to do the Sierra after ? I also remember this was a year of devastating wildfires and lots of closures on the PCT and the CDT. I'll have to rewatch this 4 or 5 times to get my Spielberg fix, ha ha ! I would love to see a longer 1/2 hour version that includes more of your experience. When I have time I'll go back and watch the whole hike from the start. Thanks for posting this.
Thanks Deborah! I did have to skip a few hundred miles in NorCal because of the Dixie Fire closures, but I did hike north the whole time. Great suggestion about a half hour version - I may just do that!
We loved watching all chapters of your journey! Danielle sent pictures along the way but to actually see what you, Spot, Roo, Zip and so many others accomplished was amazing! Thank you for letting go on the journey with you virtually!
It's so nice to hear that -- thank you for letting me know! The best part about the entire trip were the lifelong friendships I made, and Danielle is way at the top of that list!
Outstanding, Craig! Thanks for sharing this beautiful compilation with us. ... But, no smoke or rain? Some things are better to forget. 😉... What's next? A book? Another part of the Camino, perhaps? Whatever it is, please keep taking us all along.
Hey Journey! So great to see your name pop up in the comments. Glad you found and enjoyed the video. Hope all is well with you in NC, and hope to see you on a trail in the future

You mentioned crossing paths with multiple bears... how close was the one in this video? Seemed to be too close for comfort. Thanks again for taking the extra time of filming your treks. And best wishes on the CDT, if/when you decide to travel that path.
