I do like that we are getting a 4K 40th anniversary of Terminator hope we get other versions in other stores but I'm pumped for that

Me excited about the Terminator on 4k, August / September

I'm with you on can't hardly wait! It's probably the one on this list I'm the most excited for
The Terminator 4K is rumored to be getting not only the steelbook, but also a standard version. Release window is supposed to be from the end of Aug to Oct. The restoration is from the original camera negative and is said to look similar to the Titanic 4K. There is also said to be plans for a new remaster for T2 but that release will probably be much further out.
Your right. The Terminator does deserve more than just a steelbook.

Terminator is a must buy for me. I love the film and I love steelbooks, so I'm pre-ordering, I don't care what the artwork looks like. Crossing my fingers Cameron doesn't mess it up too much. And whenever Criterion puts out the 4k of Seven Samurai I'll buy it for sure. I have pre-ordered the Doctor Who Celestial Toymaker blu for this week. It's not a movie, it's a serial from the series.

So excited for a 4K Night of the Creeps!! Used to watch it with my dad all the time when i was a kid! And i LOVED the new Bad Boys and I’ll be grabbing that one too!!
Almost all, if not every single,of Universal and WBs made on demand 4ks has had hdr. So even if it wasn’t part of announcement I feel it is almost guaranteed they will have hdr. A lot of them even have atmos

There was a hint that there might be going to be a 4K release of, "Can't Hardly Wait", because it's currently available in The Criterion Channel.

Rules of Engagement is a fantastic movie...and I JUST bought the blu-ray version (with some difficulty tracking it down.) The timing sucks, but I want that one on 4K.
I'm super excited for The Terminator! I personally hope he cleans up the special effects and makes them more realistic as it'll draw me more into the movie, but we'll see! lol.

Ken, you should definitely take your copy of Dredd out for a spin. It’s pure action bliss (esp in 3D). Also, Observe and Report is an under the radar gem. More of a black comedy but incredibly well done and great cast. Really hope that gets a 4K bump at some point.
There's quite a story behind Caligula, which also stars Peter O'Toole and Sir John Gielgud. It was produced and financed by Bob Guccione, the founder of Penthouse magazine. Guccione added some of the sexually explicit stuff after he and director Tinto Brass had a fallout over artistic differences. 😃
Malcolm McDowell and the other actors didn't know about the sexually explicit content until they saw the film in its theatrical release. The ultimate edition contains the original film and a reworked version from last year that is apparently closer to what McDowell and the others thought they were making.
By the way, the fascination with Caligula in the '70s was due to the huge international success of a British TV mini-series, called I, Claudius, with a cast that included John Hurt as the demented emperor Caligula. Patrick Stewart was also in that series.
😂 i cant wait to get Caligula 4k ...i didn't know there was a TV series. I have watched History documentarys about Roman Emperors and Caligula especially was a maniac, eye opening 😮. NETFLIX has a film doco called ROME absolutely amazing highly recommend for the average casual viewer.

I don't know why they keep calling it a "Steelbook",when it's an Aluminum Case.If it were made of Steel,you know how heavy the package would be.Call it what it is "Alumibook".
Arrow didn't release a Shawscope set in 23 because of the big Bruce Lee boxset they did last year... They didn't feel like they could fully complete both in one year. "The Last Ku-Mi-Te"... Bloodsport sequel ;)

I have *tried.* I have *triiiiiiiiiied* so hard to like CAN'T HARDLY WAIT. But I've never liked it, even after 4 separate viewings. It came out the year I graduated and I never saw my peers accurately depicted in it. Now KIDS, on the other hand...nailed it. I will probably buy it if the special features are copious enough, but I'm not eager for it.
Let us know when CALIGULA drops, Ken. This new restoration is supposed to be superb.
I'm most excited for Can't Hardly Wait, Mute Witness and especially Night of the Creeps! I got to attend the reunion event at The Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, Texas so I appear briefly in the Blu-ray documentary which I hope makes it to the 4K release.

It was the late 90s. Lots of rom-coms with teenagers titled after catch phrases. There's literally movies called SHE'S ALL THAT, TRIPPIN', DRIVE ME CRAZY, SET IT OFF, and WHATEVER IT TAKES.

Great video Ken. There's a couple other movies getting a blu-ray release soon too that I'm not sure if you've heard about. One is an Ashley Judd movie called Twisted which is really good and a comedy classic called Big Man on Campus 🙂
Monkey Man was pretty good at the cinema. The only downside is the overuse of shakey camera during the action scenes. This staple needs to stop. Think Kong cinema wouldn’t do it as they know it’s fake and they prefer you to see the action being performed well. Hollywood should adopt this mentality because the shakey camera is just annoying and it’s so bad in MM it almost made me feel sick. Other than that, it was a decent film
Regarding Terminator, at Amazon too 29.99,,Ken no Artwork, done by same team that did Titanic, and i hear there were no complaints.
I hope Terminator 3 gets a 4k that movie has aged to be a better movie I'm hoping I can get the Godzilla Kong steelbook and where is Armageddon on 4k why is it taking so long its a very popular film it would sell out fast

🤔... How come nobody has mentioned The Girl On The Bridge Blu-ray is up for Pre-order. It is a fantastic French romantic comedy. It gets a enthusiastic. recommendation from me. First time on Blu-ray.
I too love Can't Hardly Wait so will definitely get the 4K. This week will pick up Immaculate (haven't seen yet), Godzilla x Kong (enjoyed in theater), and Shrek collection (agree the artwork is much better than the single releases, glad I waited).
Sony Studio gives Marvel mostly 4ks & not there other films recently

It does look like the 4K of Seven Samurai will get a Criterion release and November seems like a good bet. The fact the new theatrical run is being promoted on social media by Janus Films points to a likely Criterion release.
