How to Make CINNAMON FIRE LIQUEUR - 4K UHD

  • This CINNAMON FIRE LIQUEUR recipe is a spicy take on the cinnamon liqueurs you love, but without the guilt if you make the low carb version using our recipe for KETO SIMPLE SYRUP ( • How to Make KETO SIMPL... . Our version combines vodka and brandy, but you can substitute rum and/or whiskey, depending on your preference. Whatever you choose, this liqueur will have a warm and satisfying taste that you will enjoy!
    INGREDIENTS
    • 8 cinnamon sticks
    • 2-6 dried red peppers (chile de arbol or chile tipo japones)
    • 480 ml (2 cups) vodka (100 proof is preferred)
    • 240 ml (1 cup) brandy
    • 240 ml (1 cup) simple syrup ( • How to Make SIMPLE SYR... ) or keto simple syrup ( • How to Make KETO SIMPL...
    *For a sweeter liqueur, increase the simple syrup to 360 ml (1.5 cups)
    DIRECTIONS
    1. Add cinnamon sticks and dried chiles to a sealable jar. We used 2 chiles in this recipe for a mildly spicy liqueur, but you can add up to 6 chiles if you want to turn up the heat. Crushing the chiles will also amp up the fire!
    2. Pour in vodka and brandy (or substitute with the alcohol of your choice). Stir, then seal jar. Shake vigorously to infuse flavors.
    3. Store jar in a cool, dark location such as a cupboard for seven to fourteen** days. Shake daily.
    4. After steeping for the desired number of days, pour and strain liquid into a pitcher.
    5. Add the simple syrup (or keto simple syrup) and stir to blend.
    6. Pour the liqueur into a swing top glass bottle or any resealable container.
    **Steeping for fourteen days will allow a more intense cinnamon/chile flavor to develop.

    I'm in process of doing this with whisky as I write. Two days in on a half gallon Mason Jar of hot cinnamon whisky.
    Really looking forward to trying it out. If it works as well as I think it will I'll be gifting it far and wide to friends and family.

    Do you have to use brandy or can you substitute it for somthing else?

      You can substitute any whiskey of your choice instead of using brandy. If whiskey is not available, you can use more vodka. Thanks for asking!

      Thanks for your question! Simple Syrup is 1 part sugar plus 1 part water added to a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and then cool.
