The ice cream you're thinking of is called a Klondike Bar. The audio you heard wasn't the real Timothy Treadwell audio. The family never released it because it was too horrific. The lens cap was on that's why there's only audio of the mauling. Love the reactions, btw 😁

I heard the director of the film based on that incident heard the audio and said no one should listen to it and to like destroy it or something. I can't imagine how horrific it was

@@47ratsinahoodie Yes. He listened to it while sitting with his mother (I think it was Timothy's mother) and listened to it. He told her to destroy it after listening to a few seconds of it. Not much of a silver lining with what I'm about to say but I'm grateful that she never listened to it. Such a terrible, agonizing way to go for both of them 😿

@@cboyles84 saw it. It wasnt any different then any other documentary abt a researching on a trip to learn abt a certain animal other then the ending. Idu how being objective is being detached. Things like that happen all the time in nature but yall only care when it happens to a human. Not like the bears set the man up or sumthin his ego got the best of him

The bear you’re thinking of on the side of the ice cream truck was a polar bear. That felt very nostalgic lol 🍦

Fun fact: the reason why the sunbear look like a human in a costume is because they are prey item for tiger so the loose skin is like the honey badger skin and they can turn around and attack the tiger just like the honey badger does with lion

8:06: No, they only said California had its first fatal black bear attack last month. There have been fatal black bear attacks elsewhere.

3:05 The full quote is: WTF Fact of the Day, Sun Bears are the smallest bears in the world, but have the same sized teeth as a polar bear
the Mascot for Klondike bars are meant to be polar bears, not Kodiak bears. though honestly i wish it was a Kodiak
Also fun fact that he doesn't bring up, contrary to popular belief, most of a Grizzly and black bear's diet is comprised of plants like fleshy roots, fruits, berries, grasses, and forbs. like 75% of other diet is plant matter. They are opportunists tho, so they will happily deviate if they can

Actually if you watch the black bear section again he said that there have been at least 66 cases of a black bear killing a person. The 1 that he was talking about was only in California

Timothy Treadwell. He stayed too late in the season, when the bears began preparing for hibernation and are thus more aggressive as they search and fight for food. He'd been visiting the area for years, documenting bears he knew, but on that last trip he filmed a bear he'd never seen before and noted that he didn't feel comfortable around it. It's believed that's the bear that killed and partially ate Treadwell and his girlfriend the night before they were due to leave. All that remained of Treadwell was his head and one arm. His girlfriend was mostly eaten too. Indication that this wasn't a matter of them startling a bear: the attack was predatory because the bear needed to eat to fatten up for winter. The camera was rolling during the fatal attack but the lens cap was on so there's only audio, which has never been publicly released. There is a transcript, though, and it's horrifying to read. Treadwell was controversial among conservationists because he'd get right up close to bears to film them, which he claimed was okay because he knew which bear was safe to approach. Dude tempted fate one time too many and sadly cost him and his partner their lives.
