    Peter is doing some of the best reviews ATM.
    Rapido are designing some clever layouts these days

    Great review Peter, seems to tick a lot of boxes for me - we're limited by the length of our front drive, so this fits the bill. Also a nice big kitchen and good washroom and garage 👌

      Thanks. Yes, it packs a lot in to a 'van that's not too big

    Nice looking motor home Peter, one question, with many of these reviews, the weight restrictions on the pull down beds is never mentioned. Being 6’4” and a little heavier than average, I wonder how good these would be for me.

      I think most are rated at 200kg, though I've seen some at 150kg. I'll try to remember to mention in future!

    Great review. Dissapointing that the font berth is only 187 cm wide. I am 183 cm which is average for males in the Netherlands. So with only 2 cm to spare on eiter side no convenience from only using the front beth for me.

      The actually mattress is 1.87m - there may be some "wriggle room" at either end here. Worth investigating if you like the layout (which has some improvements this season, too).

    Hi, can you do a review the ducato 8 version with no rear bed?

    • @MotorhomeCampervan

      We don't normally review the same 'van twice. It hasn't changed hugely since this video. Let's see what the 2024 model is like

  • @chrischris8550

    Surely the back storage should be a pull out bed. The drop down bed is over complicated and takes away head height.

    I totally love this model, ticks every box for me completely , I stand with cash in hand B U T ….. The price you quoted £72000+ is superb but I can’t see this model anywhere for less than £81000+ ? Am I missing something or are the dealers being very aggressive in their pricing

    • @peterv3642
      @peterv3642 2 года назад

      Unfortunately, this review was done last summer and prices of many motorhomes have shot up since then. When tested, this 854F was from £69,700 but £79,200 as tested with Select Pack, 160bhp motor, automatic, alloys, rear bed, optional upholstery. Check what options are fitted when comparing prices

    • @peterv3642
      @peterv3642 2 года назад

      PS If you've found one in a dealership that isn't already sold and you really like this model, I wouldn't wait. There will only be limited numbers before next season and I expect any stock not already sold will go at the NEC show in Feb

    I live in the USA but I must say I like the way these RV look much better. The only thing I prefer about the USA RV is the slide outs. Without the slide outs it feels cramped and closterphobic.

    • @justinlinnane8043
      @justinlinnane8043 3 года назад

      The size of US RV's with slide outs make them very impractical for Europe . The ones I do see are confined to larger campsites and hardly ever leave them . We just dont have the infrastructure to service them .

    The rear lounge is totally disappointing. No back window and small side windows would make it like sitting in a box. I agree that the rear bed isn't needed as most 4 berth excursions are likely to be with grandchildren who I would dump above the cab and just use the downstairs bed for ourselves.
    I really like the kitchen but it doesn't compensate for the lack of window space at the back.

    • @peterv3642
      @peterv3642 3 года назад

      I thought that before I saw it. In practice it's much better than that and you gain lots of storage and a garage

    • @rscosworthfan

      i agree i like a window at the rear too

    • @justinlinnane8043
      @justinlinnane8043 3 года назад +2

      Far better to have all the storage option rather than a third window.

    • @tonysutton6559
      @tonysutton6559 3 года назад +1

      @@justinlinnane8043 You can have the storage elsewhere such as the middle of the van. For many people the main attraction of a U shaped rear lounge layout is the 270° views from the lounge. That attraction disappears when you only have a small window on each side.

      @@tonysutton6559 thats a very english thing and in most english vans you have a huge rear lounge that you have to make up as a bed every night !! . no thanks , prefer this design approach

    It's a shame rapidos build quality is not that good, bits fall off, driver door hinge siezed,paint peeling off crossframe under bonnet, cupboard hinge screws fall out and don't tighten up, the older vans were better built. 🙁And its only 2 years old.

    • @peterv3642
      @peterv3642 2 года назад

      That sounds very disappointing. I think a lot of manufacturer's have let quality slip as they try to build more 'vans but surprised to hear this of a Rapido. What model have you got and is the dealer sorting it out?
