So both compilations of American dad you've watched are mainly from the same episode. And it's not that old either. There are about 16 seasons before those. I don't think you're getting a fair assessment of American dad. I love American dad, but honestly, that episode is one of my least favorite. I'd say see if you can find some older ones to watch so you can get to know the characters better. You will most likely enjoy it more. Just my 2 cents
