Brief story :
"At the age of nine, Lara survived a plane crash in the Himalayan mountains that resulted in the death of her mother. After miraculously surviving a ten-day solo trek from the crash site to Katmandu, she spent the rest of her childhood under the close tutelage of her Archaeologist father - the late Earl of Abbingdon, Richard Croft.
At the age of eighteen, after the death of her father, Lara inherited the Croft estates and became Countess of Abbingdon. Since then she has been credited with the discovery of some sixteen archaeological sites of international significance.
She has been hailed both as an Archaeological Wunderkind and a glorified Treasure Hunter, depending on whom you listen to. There are thousands of rumors surrounding Lady Croft's exploits, invariably involving the unexplained or outright unbelievable. Lady Croft herself is, unfortunately, never available for comment, which further adds to the veil of mystery that surrounds her life and work.
Consequently, Lady Croft continues to be the focus of wild speculations and intense debate. Idealized and vilified in equal measure, she is perhaps one of the most fascinating and enigmatic figures of our times."
When Lara Croft was nine years old, the executive airplane carrying her and her mother crashes into the Himalayas in Nepal, leaving them as the only survivors. After taking shelter in the ruins of an ancient Buddhist temple, Lara discovered an ornate Stone Dais holding a sword. Unwittingly activating the ancient artifact, Lara watches in horror as her mother vanished in front of her eyes. Devastated, she left two pages of her diary behind, but kept the directions of how to open the portal with her.
Years later, Lara, with the help of Zip and Alister Fletcher, travels to the ancient civilization of Tiwanaku in Bolivia, following a tip from university peer Anaya Imanu.
All the walkthrough are recorded with NextGen graphics on. The game itself have some technical issues. It can be solved via some extra mods to fix it.

This made me realize how short of a game Tomb Raider Legend.
Yeah, last time I played it I realized it was the shortest game in the series.
I thought Legend was pretty ok for what it was.
Yeah.... many years ago I played this many times already. I never felt it's short. Just till I make the video. It's really short. Didn't they delete too many locations?
Yes, it’s really short when played. It’s much more action-packed than Anniversary and Underworld. 🙂❤️👍

I remember growing up and being amazed at how they recreated Lara and made her "so much more realistic". 😂 I adore this game, though! Ahhh, memories!

I kind of love how "stupid" action-packed this one is, to the point to where Lara almost seems Cybernetic, or something. It's ridiculously, and unapologetically over the top, in the greatest way. Cracks me up. :D

Tomb Raider Legend came out in 2006 but there were only 8 levels. They should have had 30 levels like TRAOD had
Unless they can bring lots of ideas and new gameplay. Or that would make people feel boring after 10 levels.
More isnt always better. TR 1-3 was more levels (or longer ones) but to me they always felt like more and more rooms added to another without any cohesive idea in mind. Was good of the time, but you cant do that today. It would feel bad. That said, Legends was rather short after all, yet the variety is nice.

holy i found the first tomb raider game i play well it was the ps2 demos you could buy they has demos on them of a few games I've play all the most recent ones and there so good. i just bought this one it was 1.04$ on steam.
Harder on PC. Best mix of music, character, action and movie like scenes. My favorite TR. Bought for $1 also.
Now if we can get this remastered!

@@AloneWolf-xb1sowhiny??? Remember it was her first adventure right? And she persevered the entire time and fought for her life like the powerful woman she is. Her newer version is so raw and emotional. They really portrayed her so well when it came to her past and her father and wanting to know the secrets of her mother’s passing. Lara is so relatable and beautiful inside and out. She stands for humanity and isn’t afraid to use her voice.
As much as I love Classic Lara (Tomb Raider 1 to 6) I think Legend is the most complete, detailed, versatile and fun game of them all.
Shame the game isn't that longer than we expect. Or this is gotta be the best for me :D Still, the most fun in the series
Personally, I think Tomb Raider II and Anniversary are the best. Still have to play Chronicles and Angel of Darkness though.

This was my favorite TR, and I played them since the ps1 joints. The acrobatic combat (sliding into them to pop them up and you shoot to juggle never got old), the outfits, the fluidity of movement were unmatched. Perfect game. I wish the 2013 reboot series gave you her dual pistols. I was super disappointed when you never got them. This game was on par with the 007 games of the time. Great fun era
yeah... still wonder why they don't wanna connect the reboot timeline and classic timeline..... even if they said so 🤔

She wrote him a letter saying she's gonna try to be less serious. I'm ready for the dual pistols and red glasses again. It's been too long. I'm ready for 30+ year old Lara again raiding tombs solo.

I wanted to be her when I was young...I still admire her. My first TR game is the TR gold on the computer. These games are right up my ally...I love adventure. I’ve been hiking in all sorts of national parks all over the country. I love putting on my tall hiking boots, and a cute outfit like hers, braid my hair, I bring a little pack of stuff (weed, water, camera) and I go hiking. Jumping off rocks, pretending I’m being chased...i have real fun with it. I’ll be 33 soon and I hope to always have this playful outlook on life even when I’m an old woman. When I’m an old woman I will look back on all the adventure I’ve had and be grateful I pushed myself to get out there and have fun. I love camping with my husband and our 2 pitbull/huskies mix...the pitsky....beautiful dogs. I can make a bonfire in almost any weather condition....I love making bonfires....cooking tender juicy meats outside is my favorite...mmmm
Once my best friend and I got a glorious bonfire started during a rain storm...sure it went out after 5 minutes...but we got it going for a few minutes and the flames got big. We danced in the rain like two tribal woman excited for a successful hunt.
Oh no, unfortunately I missed this premiere.... I remember I used to played this but it was only the demo version. Nevertheless I am very happy now to be able to watch this unhurriedly :) nice week for everyone whos reading this ;)

@@Gold26502 I guess you're talking about Shadow of the Tomb Raider? The 2013 and Rise of the Tomb Raider were good, but Shadow had that open world stuff that I didn't care for. None of them felt like Tomb Raider games tho. More like Uncharted instead. I love uncharted, but that's a more linear, cinematic experience. Tomb Raider is more exploration and puzzle solving. This new Lara lacks the personality the Legend Lara had.
@@Jedi_Luke they were all “good” in general, however none of those 3 games had exploration as good as tomb raider games need, or the cool personality of Lara Croft.

Came back to watch this for the nostalgia. It was the first video game i ever played with my dad on the PS2 when i was about 6. I never got very far in the game since i was so young, but i remember the funny remarks my dad would make when Laura did her acrobatics. I recently lost my dad and wish i could thank him for those times

There is only two Lara Croft games that we’re disappointing and that’s angel of darkness and I can’t think of the name but it had a lot of mummies in it and she was a child other than those two the rest was pretty good

Brilliant walkthrough of a pretty good Tomb Raider game 👍🏻💕 I was never too taken with the overly people/talk saturated stuff from the later games but there’s still plenty of good gameplay, archaeological stuff and story here. Wow. Cool walkthrough! I even beat this game completely with Next Generation without patches! I just turned off NextGen before the "Kazakhstan" level, and then when the first splash screen started, I immediately turned on Next Generation. It worked for me! Personally, I think you can do it too. I advise.

13:37 omg i didn't think if lara jumped on the stone seesaw, the boxes were thrown on the upside platform, i thought if i put the boxes on both sides of the seesaw, that one would have thrown the other one and so on, but in this way i was stuck on there

But this dude did the campaign, got all the collectibles AND did Croft Manor in 1 hour less than it took me to Speedrun just the campaign without collectibles.

Young me didnt understand the "I am relieving myself too" line, and thought the writers had a weird gaff where they were trying too hard to make it seem like Nishimura-san struggled with English.
Older me now giggles and goes "Heh heh, he pissed himself."
Yep, this was the best - my favorite TR of them all. Must have played those motorcycle chase scenes about 100 times. Great back story, great flash backs, great character development, great plot, great locations (Japan is awesome - the Lost in Translation jokes), brings the whole Lara Croft phenomena full circle. Congrats to the developers, coders and designers. Thanks so much!
And by the way, that's a grand total of 3 Ducati motorcycles she "totals" ... her famous " Velveteen touch". 🙂
This next gen mode was a shiet anyway better play vanilla and you will have the wet effect to on lara this mode was a buggy shiet from the start

No, not really. I think underworld is much harder. Huge area to explore. Lots of relics to collect. It's much complicated.

This is the first game I've been able to play from the start and am on Area 4 Africa.
The problem is when the PS 2 Came out they went overboard with the difficulty of these 3 games starting with Legend. And it got worse by the game
This and Anniversary were just what we needed. I was a bit put off when I upgraded my Vidcard to Nvidia for the 'special' rendering - not that it looked bad but because the 'wet outfit' which would dry shortly after getting out of water was disabled or could not be rendered. So I just changed it back to normal instead of 'experimental' or whatever they called it. I see this was made using the new rendering - water droplets but outfit still dry. I miss Keeley.

How does this game look like at 1440p?
I only forced 1440p because the bitrate on 1080P on RUclips only up to 8MB... only 1440P support 24MB. My video is 30MB

TR Legend on PS5 runs on PS2-ROM format. It only has 720p. So you basically play PS2 version on PS5. I'd rather see the trilogy edition on PS3 playable on PS5 😢
