Looks boutique for a production piece. Very nice!
It is!
once you put a good set of grips on it, it feels incredibly nice and solid in your hand
Totally agree! The thinner stock grips aren’t bad… but the slight swell on these just fits my hand perfectly.
I like those grips. I went to the Vytal website, but it's unclear which color is which. Do you know what color your grips are?
Those are the “color case” option. Also they suggest to buy the base pads at the same time as the way they anodize them it’s easier to match when done together. Kraken Palm swells.
@@Fatherandsonatarms Thank you!
Lok grips are where it's at!
Thank you for this video. I love the grip. Is it the Antique or Shipwreck finish?
Finish is their Color case option.
Thanks!!
Do you have short fingers or is the trigger reach really that long? It looks like you can only get the tip of your finger on the trigger.
I have big hands… but short sausage finger. 😂
It appears to have a low bore axis because the frame is thick and the slide is thin. I'm pretty sure the bore to grip measurement is average.
I was going to port the slide and barrel (may still 🤷♂️) but it’s not needed. Very light slide mass moving around. Return to zero is quick and felt recoil is soft.
Compare the bore axis height to like a p226 or Beretta, which are similar type firearms, I assure you cz sits much lower
Did you have to paint the optic plate? Or did it come black?
Optic plate came black from Impact Machine.
I don't know why they decided to allow safety on double action. For me, is a bummer. If I want to run in double action I don't want to think about the safety, that might or might not have been engaged unconciously. My good old CZ75B works like that, so I see this as a step back in the wrong direction. No safety if the hammer is not fully cocked, and the safety also locks the slide to avoid the gun going out of battery (the hammer down helps to keep the slide in place)
Exactly… but it’s the only option on the S2C at the moment. Definitely prefer it with a Decock.
@@Fatherandsonatarms It's even worse, from the manual:
"Since the trigger mechanism has been specifically adjusted, it is possible to move the safety onto the "SAFE" position even if the hammer is placed on the safety notch. In this case, however, it is strongly not recommended to engage the safety because the trigger mechanism might be damaged when cocking the hammer by force or pulling the trigger. If damage to the trigger mechanism occurs, let it be repaired by a certified gunsmith."
May i know what plate and grip is this? Thank you
Vytal manufacturing. Based out of St Louis MO. Done in color case finish.
They were so close to being perfect. No de cocker :c
then it wouldn't be a shadow II
Yes, replace safety to de cocker.
Need to look under the hood as they left off the hammer safety and no decocker, Both of which are desirable if you are looking for CCW. Killed my enthusiasm for this pistol.
If carried like a standard 1911/2011 cocked and locked there’s no difference in battery of arms. Would I prefer a Decock, most definitely but releasing the hammer in a safe direction isn’t that really hard to do either.
