I like you let people know they will bite. The will literally try and eat them self. Lol solid. But I do have to say I know they are terrestrial but I do have a cal king who is always trying to climb. Temps are perfect nice deep substitute humidity is on point. I'm just not sure why yhis snake has though well I will just be up here and not down there. Is this normal behavior? Otherwise snake is acting normal, eating well, scales nice and shiny and has been to the vet not sure why it's still climbing. Should I just add some branches for enrichment? 😒🤔
@@LockedInDiamondPainting It's perfectly normal for your snake to want to climb. If you were to find this species out in the wild you may most likely find it on the ground but that doesn't mean it doesn't like to climb. I like to tell people It's good to do research on your species of reptile or animal but always always keep in mind each individual animal is slightly different and will have its own unique personality and have its own unique things that it likes to do. That's where just being an observant keeper comes in handy. Get to know your individual animal there are things about that animal that you will know that other people just won't but again it's perfectly normal for him to want to climb, branches would be a good idea. I hope this helps if you have any other questions feel free to reach out😁👍🏽.... By the way what size tank is he in and what temperature do you keep one side of the tank at?
Im glad your video popped up in my feed. Really well put together, informative and enjoyed watching. I agree these are amoung the best of the kingsnakes. Ive been interested in the black milk snake aswell. Be safe and keep the videos coming
I have a Mexican black kingsnake and at one point I got concern that he wasn’t eating for almost a month. I would always feed him life mice.. should I do something about it?
Great video, I just picked up my juvenile the other day, first time feeding a pinky today and wow you're right he just took it no questions asked! My guy has yellow on his underside but ive read this tends to fade to black with age?
Hey man I’m getting a MBK in about a week. I live in Nevada and the average humidity is about 25%. Will he be ok if I mist the substrate? I don’t want him to dry out.
The water bowl in the tank will naturally increase the humidity level. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Leave him until you see the 1st shed. If he sheds in one piece than the humidity level should be just fine. If he sheds in several little pieces than you need to increase the humidity a little bit. But don't go crazy spraying it as soon as you get the snake. This type of snake likes the dryness.
I don't want to rag on you but videos great information better the music is too loud I like the music but it's too loud it's like you're competing with the music
5:00 jet looks hella derpy in this shot... adorable
i like the mexican black kingsnake he is the best
Beautiful snake!

The answer may be kind of lengthy so Direct message me this Question on my Instagram wildlife.kingdom
How does the bite feel? From a 1-10??? I wanna know how it felt as a baby and how it feels as ana adult plz! Thank u
😆 not even a 1. Honestly with the large amount of snakes i have had since I was a kid, bites from snakes like this don't hurt or bother me at all.
Bites from these smaller nonvenomous snakes startle you much more than they hurt. There truly is no pain
I think the eastern chain kingsnake is the cooler kingsnake👊🏾🐍!! Great vid bro!!
I love the vids keep it up!!
Thank you i really appreciate it! 🙏🏽
I want one sooo bad 😍😍😍
Go for it! let me know how it goes!
Most Beautiful Kingsnake ever. Where did you get yours? How much are they? I own two Ball Pythons but black is just so beautiful.
A reptile shop in South Florida and I don't remember but probably under 200 dollars
