Nice demo. Thank you. In your recent hand building demos, I noticed you have been using paper towels to 'clean up' the joins on your creations. Is paper towel preferred to using a damp sponge? If so, why? Thank you.
Yes, if you have groggy clay, I’d suggest you use paper towel instead of sponge to smooth the surface. Sponge tends to to reveal the rough surface.
Could you provide the dimensions of your templates please, including the compression plate?
I do have the template with me, but I know the size of the compression wood board. 3.5”x6”. You can build your own templates with this dimensions. The rest of the templates should be very straightforward.
Hey ! I'm loving this! Would you tell me what kind of fabric are you using in the first rolling machine ?
Yes, the texture matt I bought from this vendor: www.chineseclayart.com/store/textures
@@hsinchuenthank you for that one and how about the other fabric, the beige one that says "white clean side"
The fabric is probably canvas.
Would you mind sharing your template?
The important part of this project is the compression wood block for the rectangular butter tray. Once having the dimensions, you should be able to figure out the rest of the dimensions for the templates.
Thanks for the video.
What material is the template made of? Thank you.
I usually run your classes as practice, if I don't know what type of material the template is I can't do it like you.
@@davids6300 as I have demo on my previous videos, I use tar paper.
De La Designs sells a set of cutters to make the same butter dish. They're like cookie cutters so you don't need a template.
