Bengaluru (also called Bangalore) is the capital of India's southern Karnataka state. The centre of India's high-tech industry, the city, is also known for its parks and nightlife. By Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha is a Neo-Dravidian legislative building. Former royal residences include 19th-century Bangalore Palace, modelled after England’s Windsor Castle, and Tipu Sultan’s Summer Palace, an 18th-century teak structure.
Join us on our first day in Bengaluru whilst we enjoy delicious tasty South Indian foods.
We tasted our first South Indian Dosa.
We also visited our first shopping mall in India.
The dosa originated in South India, but its precise geographical origins are unknown. According to food historian K. T. Achaya, references in the Sangam literature suggest that dosa was already in use in the ancient Tamil country around the 1st century CE However, according to historian P. Thankappan Nair, dosa originated in the town of Udupi in present-day Karnataka. Achaya states that the earliest written mention of dosa appears in the 8th-century literature of present-day Tamil Nadu, while the earliest mention of dosa in Kannada literature appears a century later.
In popular tradition, the origin of the dosa is linked to Udupi, probably because of the dish's association with Udupi restaurants. The Tamil dosa is traditionally softer and thicker; the thinner and crispier version of dosa was first made in present-day Karnataka. A recipe for dosa can be found in Manasollasa, a 12th-century Sanskrit encyclopedia compiled by Someshvara III, who ruled from present-day Karnataka.

As you guys experienced a totally different taste in these dishes(idli and dose) compared to North of india is because these dishes are native to south india. And we south indians have mastered these dishes. As compared to north india, north indians have mastered their own dishes compared to south. So I recommed you guys to have what is native to that region, which could help to get a better taste. Happy to see you guys exploring our country❤

Idly is the healthiest breakfast one can have at any time of the day. Since it is made of steamed rice and has zero oil. The best breakfast all over South India.
The powder is chutney powder made up of dry coconuts, peanuts and red chilli ground.

I don't know where you guys are from; I just clicked on this vlog randomly, and surprisingly, it's a food vlog. I absolutely loved how you guys delved into our authentic South Indian breakfast with such enthusiasm and appreciation. It's quite refreshing to see that, as often, even within our own country, people don't always give South Indian dishes the recognition they deserve. Sadly, stereotypes about our food persist, which is disheartening. I refrain from mentioning which part of India these people are from because such discussions often get politicized, and I firmly believe in unity. As an Indian, I cherish and appreciate all kinds of food from every corner of our diverse nation. It's this diversity that truly makes our cuisine rich and exciting.

I am also crazy about HOM one masked musician from Mizoram. His song Herleri is like Rick Astley Never Gonna Give You Up.
I have two playlists from Mizoram, first is 25 artists and 25 songs and the second is a collection of 335 Mizo songs which I like.

Yeah that's a rookie mistake a lot of foreigners do. Eating South Indian dishes in the north and North Indian dishes in the South. I really love that sweetness in the sambar in South, some don't like it but I crave it.

1001 means after, 1000 people are served you will get your turn Gogo. That means, rest of your life, you will spend in Ramaswaram cafe. ( would you like it Gogo ). Apart from this, there is MTR ( mavalli tuffine rooms ) near Lalbagh main gate, which is a good old and " a signature restaurant of Blore style. Bangalore trip would be complete, without a visit to MTR.

Authentic sambhar will be creamy and full of different vegetables, beware of drumsticks (you don’t consume it) just squeeze it. Try buns, Gol Bajje and I haven’t seen you try Rassam with Idli.
