A lot of people are saying that Sabeen asking if Asha is still in love with Nina isn't relevant to the case, when it actually is a valid thing to be asked when someone is cross-examining witnesses. Because it puts Asha's position as a reliable witness into question and can cause her statements to be redacted as a result if the judge feels that her interests are biased/conflicting. This also adds more drama into the show so I feel that's why they utilised that particular legal tactic. And from a show standpoint, it was a definitely something that the viewers needed to be shown to really nail home how self-involved Asha is as a person. She's only doing this because she wants to redeem herself in Nina's eyes and show how much she "cares" after continually downplaying Nina's trauma and pain at the hands of Corey by refusing to even consider him as a suspect, even after seeing Nina beaten and broken in the hospital as a result of his violence, all to save her own feelings.
how is Asha being in love with Nina anything to do with Seb? Honestly police, doctors and prosecution officers and any services has gone worse and worse. i know this show isn't in real life but i have never been so annoyed. they are at court to talk about what happened to Seb, not anything to do with Asha and Nina's relationship, that isn't anywhere near anything to do with Seb. Also they should believe Nina as they've seen how bad state she was in. you don't see that many people that upset very often
It is relevant, as it is showing that she is prepared to lie for those she loves, so she could be lying for Nina to try to frame Corey (she isn’t, but that is what is being argued). On the flip side, it gives Corey a motive to target Nina in the first place, Seb just happened to be there.
I watched Asha's facial expressions as she admitted to still being in love with Nina. It exposed her true agenda for helping Abi to get Corey put away for Seb's murder - getting back with Roy's niece.

I'm sorry, but I don't believe Asha's giving evidence to help Abi get justice for her son. The answer she gives to the question Corey's defense counsel exposes her real reason she's doing that - to try and rekindle her relationship with Roy's niece.
