- She's no stranger to the interview room at Weatherfield Police Station, but now it's time for Vicky Myers to answer some of our questions! For this week's bonus podcast, we chat to the actress behind fan favourite character DS Swain, who Corrie have recently announced has been made a full-time cast member. Vicky shares her hopes for Swain now that we're going to be learning more about her character, reveals some anecdotes about her favourite Swain moments so far, and tells us which Corrie villain of the past she wishes she'd had the chance to put in handcuffs!
She’s amazing. For me she’s brought new life into Corrie, and now her blossoming relationship with Carla has got me glued to each episode. Swarla all the way. 🥰❤️
I absolutely love Vicky and I’m absolutely excited to see how for they take her character. I really hope she moves to the street with Betsy . I love a lot of Vickys past roles too, she’s definitely going to become a firm favourite to so many 🙂

I can fully say yes that street is the best to walk on🥰 I’ve loved the tour to the point I’m booking again. In the hopes to meet Vicky one day
I watch Coro from Canada and YES, as soon as DS Swain appears, she steals the scene with those big staring eyes and her relaxed pleasant expression. One can't help but be captivated by her. I like it when she's rigid and stern not letting emotions get in the way and of course with her sarcastic little remarks. I hope they don't soften her at all, because she handles the current 'suspects' so well, however innocent or guilty they might be. I have not seen any scenes with both her and Carla yet.

You got that right! They are smart to go slow just like with Natalia Rivera & Olivia Spencer on Guiding Light. They went from Enemies, then Frenemies then Friends Then Roommates then Co-Parenting Emma Spencer (Olivia's Daughter) then finally a Couple. The Reporter reminds me of the Man who does The Locher Room where he talks to Past Soap Opera Actors & Actresses and their lives on the show and afterwards. I would love for The Locher Room to interview Actors who are on Granchester, Gentleman Jack, Last Tango In Halifax & Downton Abbey who all got their start on UK Soaps.

First thing,she’s a beautiful lady,2nd, she’s very intelligent, 3rd,it was really good to see her smile,she doesn’t do it often enough on the street! Finally,PLEASE a don’t let her get settled into a relationship with Carla and then die in the line of duty!!! Soaps have a really bad idea that’s it’s good for viewing figures. 😡
In The US they have a Channel called The Locher Room where a former Executive Producer of Guiding Light & it's Sister Show As The World Turns (previously under the Proctor & Gamble Empire) do inteviews with all kinds of folks from Soap Operas many of which are not on the air. Vicky Myers is in the same boat that Orlagh Cassidy was in. On Guiding Light she had a recurring (Part Time Role) as Doris Wolfe Attorney General turned Mayor who was in The Closet but when the show went off the air in 2009 she came out to her Daughter Ashley and even bought her Girlfriend Jomanda Weekes a Bartender to a Friend's Wedding.
