Great to see Jackie, great to hear her voicing her feedback more and more during sessions. Love to see the LS Driver test. Callaway Epic LS , Ping LST, Radspeed, TSi2, SIM . Great work as always.
I’d still like to see Thomas hit these. As a high swing speed player - I’m chasing fairways instead of distance this year and am curious which of these heads work best for a higher speed player
I'm in your boat too mate... I don't need anymore distance, happy to sacrifice up to 30yds to be in the fairway more than 80% of the time... Distance is wasted when I'm playing out of the rough/trees more often than off the short stuff...
Noting the comment about using a counter balanced shaft with the PING, I think the PING was already at a disadvantage in this test. If using a non counter balanced shaft, would you consider using a lighter back weight with the PING? You can get at 15g weight for it rather than the stock 26g.
I noted that as well. In most tests that have been done on the G425, reviewers tend to use the same shaft across models to try to keep the testing neutral. But I do also wonder if the heavier head and not using a counterbalanced shaft makes a difference. I”ve been using the CB Alta stock shaft, and even though I would have thought the shaft was too light for me, it’s actually been a great shaft/head combo. Would be great to see you guys do a short video on whether the counter balanced shafts make a difference.
@@TheEugenelee13 I had the G410 Plus where I put in a Graphite Design Tour AD XC 6 shaft and needed to put a lighter weight in the head. Noticeable difference for sure. I now have the G425 Max and a 15g head weight for it. This would bring the total head weight more in line with all the other heads out there -- about 195g. And I still have the GD shaft as well. I plan on testing the lighter weight with the GD shaft against the stock Tensei Orange AV Raw. Hope reviewers do the same.
@@christopherstobaugh6497 I would imagine only a bit. When I did it with the G410 Plus, I didn't notice too much of a difference. I played this way for several months with good results.
Thomas - for sub 130 ball speed isn’t 2k and slightly under spin pushing it in terms of low spin? Seems like your swing better be on point or those are going to become snap hooks on the course no ? Wouldn’t perhaps the 10.5 lofted up or a 12* head and 2200-2500 spin be more ideal for her ?
The Ping driver is heavier because more weight means you can increase the MOI which means more forgiveness. They use a counter balance shaft to try and offset the heavier head. The way you talked about it made it sound like they made the shaft first and then randomly made a heavier head because of it.
Thomas - great to have & see Jackie hitting these heads at a mid 80s Driver Swing Speed - very relatable for many buys. I've put my partner and mother in Ping Drivers for exactly the reason that they are fairway finders - but it is very insightful to hear from Jackie how much she noticed the head weight affecting her in the downswing. At higher swing speeds, I just cannot stand the Ping Head sound - it is ear-piercing to the extreme.
Thanks that was an interesting H2H, but there is no doubt that the shaft choice put the PING driver at a disadvantage. I would have liked to see you use the PING Alta counterbalanced shaft to see how it performed with a shaft that balanced out the heavier head. PS Wasn't Jackie's Spin and Peak height a little on the low side?
In my opinion, Ping doesn't have a heavy head because they have counter balanced shafts but they have counter balanced shafts because the head is heavy.
Looking at the best shots rather than the furthest, Ping wins out. Sim is definitely hitting those bombs but over a wider spread. Each to their own but I’d have the Ping based on consistency.

Thank you for watching! Good idea we will add that to our video list!
Great choice , moderate swing speed golfer for moderate swing clubs

@@sshadow2 never thought of this. I might try the same with my g425 max. Do you think the lighter weight would change forgiveness and moi a lot?

What about Titleist TSI 1 ? Would have been perfect addition to test.
Great video and great to see how these 3 MAX drivers perform for moderate swing speed golfers
Thank you for watching!
Yes, love to see these against the TSI 1 AND TSI 3

Is there a reason that you didn't include Cobra in this test????
What length shaft was she using in the Ping G425 Max driver?
Wow Jackie has a great swing. Wish I had it!
She is a great golfer! Thank you for watching!

Man I’m loving that swing. It’s fearless.
Awesome video!
Thank you for watching!!
Is the G425 Max the most forgiving?

Why not test them with their stock shaft?.
Thanks, this was awesome for us average female golfers 😊
Are these people twins?
