    Thank you for sharing. This might be a silly question, but if my calculation is 2.15, and my nearest lock rings measure 2.1 and 2.2, is it best to lean towards the 2.1 with a looser fit, or 2.2 with a tighter fit along the shaft? Or do I get even more precise and surface grind a thicker lock ring down to 2.15?

    I wish someone who cared about this car and had some more knowledge of it reviewed it. With the story this car has, I don’t feel he paid his respect where it was due.
    As for the seating position, there is a handle on the left hand side of the driver seat that lowers it.
    I love the VR6 and I hope to send mine to HPA some days as well. Mine is pretty much the same model with 67k and in brilliant black 😉

    While taking measurements using dial gauge shouldn't the T10303 clutch retaining tool be inside?

      Hi,
      This tool is only required to assist holding the clutch basket in place when installing the top cover so it shouldn't be in at that point.
      If you have any further questions, please email our friendly sales team on sales@australianclutch.com.au

    Do you lose any dsg fluid when doing this? Vw replaced my clutch pack and when I asked if there was any fluid loss they claimed no.

    • @australianclutchservices7503
      @australianclutchservices7503  3 года назад +1

      Hi Greg, thanks for your comment.
      There is no fluid loss due to it being a fully sealed gearbox. The gearbox is removed from the vehicle and the clutch pack is replaced as per the video.

    • @thehatchback2407
      @thehatchback2407 11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes and no. If your gearbox was pulled from a FWD, no it won't loose fluid because your axle shafts remain connected. But, if your gearbox was pulled from an AWD (Quattro), the transfer case is removed and fluid will spew out of the shaft hole. You can try taping it closed, which can hold the fluid in, but don't think you can wait for parts for several days or you will have fluid all over the floor. And, if laying it on it's side fluid will eventually leak out of the electrical connector.

    Hello, what purpose has that shim ? What can happen if set incorect the shim ? What fault codes can generate a bad setting clutch package? I really appreciate a realy answer.Thanks in advance ...

    • @australianclutchservices7503
      @australianclutchservices7503  4 года назад +4

      Hi,
      The shim helps to adjust the release characteristics of the clutch and is very important to ensure that the clutch will operate effectively and to give long term reliability. If you don’t set the shim correctly, the clutch may not release or can slip. The fault codes are dependent on the specific vehicle. For more information on these codes, we recommend contacting a local vehicle specialist.
      Thanks

    • @australianclutchservices7503

      Hi@@em1ownerify
      Each clutch can have a different setup height which would require different snap rings.
      Also, there can be wear and tear in the transmission components effecting the end float of the input shaft. It is important to check the different dimensions and then use the new snap rings provided in the kit.
      Thanks

    Hi, thanks for the informative video. I have a 2015 CC with the 02E trans. It all of a sudden stopped moving both forward and reverse. When I scanned it, I got a code P0716 (G182 implausible signal). Pls can the G182 cause the car not to move at all? Is there a way to check this sensor with multimeter. I have checked the connector and no physical damage, I have opened the mechatronic cover and the wire of the G182 looks good. before all of this, I have replaced the DSG oil and filter. Is there something else I can do? My car is 32000 miles. Thanks again.
