I prefeer infantry versions in the game because: 1st: i am not a virgi**ahem** hill top camper 2nd: the enemy can see the reflex of your scope (i saw at least twice) 3Rd: historical accuracy 4th (and most importantly): Epic Bayonet charges
TOP CONTENDER: Lee Enfield (all around), G95 (you all know too well why) FOLLOW UP: 1/ Lebel (A REAL MAN'S GUN, best iron sight in my opinion, *work surprisingly well with K Bullets* ) 2/ Mosin (+200% efficiency in maps which have SNOW) 3/ Vetterli (hotblooded rusher) 4/ G98 (Jaeger lifestyle, best for anti-sniper)
I bought the martini henry infantry variant and it literally changed my playstyle from camping to aggressive sniping. I literally did nothing different and found it VERY good close-up with 1 shot torso and I've actually been surprised how easy it is to get one-shot kills
The vetterli-vitali has a sweetspot from 20-40 meters. So you have to be really close to get that one shot kill. Thats why i think its such a fun rifle to use.
Yeah it's one of the best rifles to use if your playing a more aggressive scout popping flares and taking objectives. I think the main reason people don't gravitate to it is the arm shot multiplier negating one shot kills at it's sweet spot range, it makes the gun somewhat inconsistent in comparison to the Martini Henry and even the Arisaka which has a higher muzzle velocity.
Its probably less popular because its less forgiving. I think its the incosistent damage like you mentioned combined with the lower rate of fire which drives people away. The fact that its bullet velocity is so slow doesnt help either.
The fact he doesn’t even know the stats for the rifle just invalidates this entire video. Yes it has 4 shots, yes it’s a bit slow on the velocity, but it’s sweet spot mechanic is just stupid good for CQC. I’m in the top 0.1% is scouts on pc and my jaw dropped when I heard him say this. I had my reservations when he posted like 4 clips of him just missing people that weren’t moving, but that line sealed the deal. Never heard of symthic and you’re posting videos to RUclips? For real?
Of course its the best momments in the game just dude after dude your out of ammo only a pistol but holding off I did it on a hill as a sniper I stopped close to a ten man group reaching our objective it got face to face but I lived! And many other times as well! Damn I love this game!!!

I am personally a fan of the M1903 Sniper. The animations are smooth, the damage is pretty good but the reload is somewhat okay. Just sayin my opinion too. :)
For me the Arisaka is the best sniper I mean, it has the highest rpm of the bolt actions rifles, the sweet spot it's better than the Martini Henry, the muzzle velocity is 700 m/s (not too bad for me) and the reload is faster than the other bolt actions, and it looks beautiful
I’m unsure when this was implemented, but the M1903 Experimental can now be converted to a M1903 Infantry variant. It does, however, take a while to switch, leaving you very vulnerable to gunfire. Would this boost the M1903’s spot in this list
It feels kind of unfair to rank the m1903 so low simply because of the experimental variant existing but later in the list ranking the silenced lee enfield rifle without consideration of its infantry variant. Otherwise though, a solid list that I mainly agree with. My favourite is easily the Arisaka, it just works for me.
Being a scout player at heart, I personally find all rifles good in their own ways. However, if I had to pick, it would probably be the SMLE Carbine or Arisaka Patrol
4x scopes mean you are at a higher risk of being rushed, bombed, suppressed, or lose in a sniper fight against somebody shooting from afar. For me what seems to work best is 1895 Russian Sniper. A good combination of decent reload speed, high bullet velocity and a long range scope.
My favorites are (in order) the gewehr M95 infantry, the russian 1895 trench, and the ross mkIII marksman. I play scout aggressively and prefer to capture objectives and play about at the same ranges as a typical medic. The M95 and russian trench are I think hands down the best weapons for this playstyle (unless you like the carbine optics, which I don't). The ross is for those rare occasions when the terrain or enemies force me to engage at longer ranges.
I actually like using all those variants of the M1903, but I respect your opinion. IMHO, DICE could’ve added the “M1914” as well. But I guess DICE just wanted one of those 2 weapons in the DLC.
I use only iron sights on scout class becouse its mire accurate and tge telescope makes a bright light from far away. I use martini henry, ross mk infantry, gewehr 95 infantry
my top five is 5. Gewehr m95. marksman, because of how fluid the rechamber animation is. 4. Ross MK3. marksman, the sweet spot is crazy good. 3. Russian 1895. trench, you feel like a cowboy when you use this one. I think that's enough said. 2. Arisaka infantry, I don't know why but I do really good with this rifle, it just feels good to play with and it's very satisfying in my opinion. 1. Lebel model 1886. sniper, Hip fire is crazy good, aim down sights time is also good in my opinion, fire rate is good, the sweet spot is good, bullets have the perfect velocity in my opinion. The perfect rifle for me :) All in all, I am a very aggressive sniper and this list isn't based on the best snipers but the ones I have the most fun with.
Although this is 4 years old I'm so happy to see a list with the M95 being respected - I used the M95 with iron sights when BF1 came out and made the same arguments you did to put it #3 - The aim didn't move while re-chambering or reloading so you NEVER lose your aim. In all my years of BF playing it's the only gun and game where I could see 5 attackers and feel confident that I could squad wipe them.
I must say I disagree a lot. Both the Arisaka and Vetterli are basically bolt-action Martini's for me. I'd say the Ross Mk 3 is the best scout rifle so far because it is just a faster firing SMLE. The worst rifle (but very cool) is the Nagant in my opinion simply because it is mediocre at everything - very average.

Ik late reply but I love using the vetterli and martini because of their closer range uses. I'm hot garbage when playing like an actual sniper but playing closer with the martini or vetterli is just yes please
I agree. I realized such a good weapon the gehwehr 98 was when I was killed by it several times in a game, by a sniper in faos fortress. When I first tried it, it felt like butter. The bullet velocity is just so great, and the distance you can shoot headshots without much drop is one of the longest, if not the longest.
its bullet drop is no different from m1903 (which has one of the best) and the suppressor doesn't actually effect bullet drop in BF1 like in other games. DO YOUR RESEARCH
I'm glad that you mention that it's all subjective. For me personally, I prefer the slower rate of fire with higher damage, so guns like the Lebel and the 1903. If I want to get aggressive I use the carcano or the martini if I really want to stooge it up 😂
My load out when I played Battlefield 1 for the sniper was SMLE with no scope,1911, trench periscope, with the flare gun. I was one of those snipers that would get the trench periscope and then change my range accordingly
Martini will always be my #1 except in conquest. I play mainly domination and the small maps with the martini is just amazing. My best is 63 kills in a 10m match
Try playing verdun operations on defense with the martini infantry cuz omg my friend and I got 100 bombs he got 151-10 and I got 102-23 it’s so good on verdun because the smoke makes normal scopes useless and easy targets
tbh i love Mosin more than Gewehr 98 (infantry versions) because i play as infantry with infantry rifles not a sniper it also feels so good hitting that 200m shot with iron sights
I like the gewehr 98 best as a sniper, the gewehr 95 or martini-henry best as an infantry, and the ross mkIII as a marksman. I don't use any carbines because I can't stand the optics.
Irl the Ross MKIII was more ass than the Vertelli, it was so infamous for jamming and malfunctioning that many soldiers quote “it has more malfunctions than parts”.
Verterli vitali is better than martini henry because it the martini henry with more ammo it has the same sweet spot and mechanics but better reload and bigger clip
Yeah, the Vetterli is definitely the best aggressive scout rifle, for the fact that it's more versatile then the Martini. In my opinion, I would have put it higher on the list for being basically the best in its category.

Stfu the martini is so much better it’s more satisfying to use also you are not playing the martini right if the verterli is better I play super aggressive with the Henry but I also rely so heavily on my spot flare it tells me if I can take a shot or save it for a real threat the point of he Henry is to be extremely aggressive it punishes you for not playing that way
@@credit__devin fair enough if that's your thing. But the vetterli fires almost twice as fast as the martini and has a 4 round clip. So you can kill 4 enemies in almost the same time as you can kill 2 with the martini. it's sweetspot is closer as well (although it's less forgiving), so it allows you to be much more aggressive with it if you know what you're doing. Martini is still satisfying af though

A talented battlefield sniper can use any sniper rifle if they position themselves correctly and the sights correctly
Id consider myself good not because im smart and position myself but because I pretty much always hit headshots.
As long as you get a headshot everytime it doesnt matter what rifle you choose.

5. Gewehr m95. marksman, because of how fluid the rechamber animation is.
4. Ross MK3. marksman, the sweet spot is crazy good.
3. Russian 1895. trench, you feel like a cowboy when you use this one. I think that's enough said.
2. Arisaka infantry, I don't know why but I do really good with this rifle, it just feels good to play with and it's very satisfying in my opinion.
1. Lebel model 1886. sniper, Hip fire is crazy good, aim down sights time is also good in my opinion, fire rate is good, the sweet spot is good, bullets have the perfect velocity in my opinion. The perfect rifle for me :)
All in all, I am a very aggressive sniper and this list isn't based on the best snipers but the ones I have the most fun with.

I have to disagree on the arisaka. I personally think it is one of the best rifles in the game.
Personally, it sucks. The bolt pull back like he said in the video throws me off.

Although this is 4 years old I'm so happy to see a list with the M95 being respected - I used the M95 with iron sights when BF1 came out and made the same arguments you did to put it #3 - The aim didn't move while re-chambering or reloading so you NEVER lose your aim. In all my years of BF playing it's the only gun and game where I could see 5 attackers and feel confident that I could squad wipe them.
My favorite is the Lebel Model I just love the sound and feels so good using that weapon

I must say I disagree a lot. Both the Arisaka and Vetterli are basically bolt-action Martini's for me. I'd say the Ross Mk 3 is the best scout rifle so far because it is just a faster firing SMLE. The worst rifle (but very cool) is the Nagant in my opinion simply because it is mediocre at everything - very average.

I agree. I realized such a good weapon the gehwehr 98 was when I was killed by it several times in a game, by a sniper in faos fortress. When I first tried it, it felt like butter. The bullet velocity is just so great, and the distance you can shoot headshots without much drop is one of the longest, if not the longest.

its bullet drop is no different from m1903 (which has one of the best) and the suppressor doesn't actually effect bullet drop in BF1 like in other games. DO YOUR RESEARCH

I'm glad that you mention that it's all subjective. For me personally, I prefer the slower rate of fire with higher damage, so guns like the Lebel and the 1903. If I want to get aggressive I use the carcano or the martini if I really want to stooge it up 😂

My load out when I played Battlefield 1 for the sniper was SMLE with no scope,1911, trench periscope, with the flare gun.
I was one of those snipers that would get the trench periscope and then change my range accordingly
For me the Mosin-Nagant M91 is a great weapon. This is because is so much powerful for me and have cool reload animations,but opinions is opinions :)

Martini will always be my #1 except in conquest. I play mainly domination and the small maps with the martini is just amazing. My best is 63 kills in a 10m match
Try playing verdun operations on defense with the martini infantry cuz omg my friend and I got 100 bombs he got 151-10 and I got 102-23 it’s so good on verdun because the smoke makes normal scopes useless and easy targets

because i play as infantry with infantry rifles not a sniper
it also feels so good hitting that 200m shot with iron sights
I like the gewehr 98 best as a sniper, the gewehr 95 or martini-henry best as an infantry, and the ross mkIII as a marksman. I don't use any carbines because I can't stand the optics.

Irl the Ross MKIII was more ass than the Vertelli, it was so infamous for jamming and malfunctioning that many soldiers quote “it has more malfunctions than parts”.
Verterli vitali is better than martini henry because it the martini henry with more ammo it has the same sweet spot and mechanics but better reload and bigger clip
Yeah, the Vetterli is definitely the best aggressive scout rifle, for the fact that it's more versatile then the Martini. In my opinion, I would have put it higher on the list for being basically the best in its category.

Stfu the martini is so much better it’s more satisfying to use also you are not playing the martini right if the verterli is better I play super aggressive with the Henry but I also rely so heavily on my spot flare it tells me if I can take a shot or save it for a real threat the point of he Henry is to be extremely aggressive it punishes you for not playing that way

But the vetterli fires almost twice as fast as the martini and has a 4 round clip. So you can kill 4 enemies in almost the same time as you can kill 2 with the martini. it's sweetspot is closer as well (although it's less forgiving), so it allows you to be much more aggressive with it if you know what you're doing.
Martini is still satisfying af though
