I used a similar system to tow my bike from California to Illinois. Removed the chain and hit the road. Only difference was was the carrier was fastened directly to the hitch, and the bike had to be lifted up to the carrier. Worked well, as long as you have a good hitch, and don't even try and back it up. You need a cat two hitch for a small bike and cat three for a larger bike, to handle the tongue weight.
Hello Mr. Fernandez might I ask you to share the information with me so as I can make a purchase, I can't seem to find the exact location to do that from.
i have one of the towing frames and i have no problem with its been on back of my motorhome round wales last year and Scotland and going to use it this year and it fits in my shed save moving bike trailer and gives me more room in garden used it for 3 years now with no problem
THE BEST WAY I HAVE SEEN TO FUCK UP THE GEARBOX,I haven’t watched it all the way through but unless he takes the chain off he will blow up the gearbox for lack of OIL , BRAVO WELL DONE ALL THE WEEKS YOU SPENT ON THE COUCH THINKING UP THIS GET RICH QUICK will not work because you have to have to release the rear wheel (wheels) when towing .
yeah, you keep it. since I done have a trailer nor a place to store it, I'll just rent one. this thing is a disaster waiting to happen. plus, like someone else on here posted out, what about the wear and tear on the rear tire, chain and sprokets?
Do they have them for sale I tried calling and couldn't figure out that website either. But I'd be happy to buy one if they'd message me a link that's understandable.
like the ideal and the effort. I'm a tow truck driver and it would be less work to tow it with a wheel lift, but the bed is always nice. plus a good driver can load it by himself or herself sorry ladies. be safe out on the highway everyone.
Max Flores too hard on the forks\steering head bearings\and this was a shaft drive bike, going to fuck up the drive running it like that. I dont think the dot would be happy about the single bolt connection for a pivot
Great idea, What are the limitations and legalities with a system like this? could this be used on un-registered dirt bikes? or would it have to be Registered, Tax'd and MOT'd seeing as the back wheel is on the road?
After looking into this and other devices that were similar i found that in the UK this can only legally be used for "recovery" and not general transporting of your bike for that you really need a trailer
Too many straps. Like bleedin' knitting, I have designed a cheap folding two wheeled towable bogie, 'A frame' that the front wheel clamps into, no weight on the towing vehicle. It may even get off the drawing-board one day.. looking for a few steamers to put some money up front.. :0)
It's the UK... Available space is a bit less over there for most homeowners... They seem to like keeping all those old buildings around and things were a bit smaller back then... It's not like here in Houston where someone will buy two houses that are next door to each other so that they can bulldoze both of them down and build one large house... They actually *want* to keep their old stuff around... Then again, if it wasn't for all that old stuff, why would anyone visit the UK? There's cheaper places to experience cold and rainy weather... :)
I used to operate a similar towing device called the thu-hitch www.truhitch.com/ when I was in the military. The thing is you can lift up the front by levering however you should hook up the pivot point closer to the center of the bike. One day out on exercise, one of my privates hooked it up wrong and broke the towed vehicle's frame in half. is there an engineer in the house. can you calculate te stress load on the front of that bike............this is a terrible idea.
So the whole weight of the motorcycle is on that pin I don't think so If the pin was bigger I would say OK but that pin is too Dicky for me to put my bike on there and trust it
Looks like the full weight lift is on handle bars some are rubber mounted this would not be a good idea...I rec bike's as part of my job and you know yourself as a bike owner you would like yr bike exposed to the elements and other rd users.
I gotta think on this for a bit, however, I rather have the front tire down, no lube issues, and the wear on the tire will cost, but is cheaper than the labour on the cruiser rear tire. It would require a light bar, or maybe just reflectors since vehicle tail, signal and brake lights are extremely visible. This would be cheaper on ferries that charge by the foot. Great for short haul, but do not think it is worth the cost on a long road trip. (Canada) I am just not sure how the front steering geometry would work on the bike.
Damned good idea, would be cool if you did a version for Vespa's as I could drive to rallies with my Reliant del boy van with my scooter behind and have best of both worlds then :)
Take a hitch, weld a piece of tubing to it approximately 6” long with a.3/4 id Roll bike to car , lift front wheel off ground. Remove wheel. Insert axle into fork and tube . Reattach castle nut. Run straps from bars down to frame drive away
300 bucks for fork seals. AAA, the idea is good. If it had like Triple Tree clamps that might be better. You know it just clamps the forks like a triple tree.
If you put it on a trailer, there still is just "one bolt" holding it... The trailer hitch / ball is just a large diameter "bolt" with a round head on it...
Looks very interesting, but, I would never risk my bike on it. A trailer costs less then a tenth of what my bike costs and likely no more than this device does.
Hit a hard bump in the road and the shifter bounce into gear say goodbye to your motorcycle, besides all of the wrong tie down points being used. I've hauled a lot of motorcycles and this is no way to even start to safely transport a motorcycle.
ou peut on acheter ce materiel qui m interesse fortement si vous pouvez me renseigner ou me laisser leur num de tel ou adresse mail exacte car moi je ne trouve pas merci a tous d avance
Wouldn't be better for the bike to just lay it on its side and drag it? I've done the research, dragging it would save your forks. and once it's down, it won't fall anymore! doing it your way you will scrape the paint, you will blow the seal on the front forks, and as you drive the bike will wave side to side until it falls over. Other than that this is a good video! in the end, you could save $10,000 by calling a tow truck!
I see a lot of risks using this setup. 1) The only thing securing the bike are straps. If just one were to go the entire setup is compromised. 2) All that compression on the front suspension can't be a good thing. The seals are going to suffer. 3) very time consuming to set up.
I have towed my harley this way to daytona for years , never had any problems with forks or anything
Hello Mr. Fernandez might I ask you to share the information with me so as I can make a purchase, I can't seem to find the exact location to do that from.
Well, that looks incredibly safe!
How does the front raise up by tightening the bike to the frame? obviously it works but isn't that a lot of pressure on the forks?
It is using the front wheel rotation to pick up the wheel carrier
Good way to blow fork seals and rub paint off front fender with the fork bag.
That was my thought also 👍
The first thing I saw was fully compressed forks. That was enough for me
I think that it needs a Big improvement on the frame to hold the bike. Plus, wouldn't that screw up your transmission.?
i have one of the towing frames and i have no problem with its been on back of my motorhome round wales last year and Scotland and going to use it this year and it fits in my shed save moving bike trailer and gives me more room in garden used it for 3 years now with no problem
Ingenious design. Love the simplicity of it.
One should come as a standard in the harley tool kit seeing how they break down so often.
Bull crap. I have a 23 year old harley and has never broken down on me.
I remember this typ of towbar from 40 years ago and was told then it was bad for the
Transmission.
yeah, you keep it. since I done have a trailer nor a place to store it, I'll just rent one. this thing is a disaster waiting to happen. plus, like someone else on here posted out, what about the wear and tear on the rear tire, chain and sprokets?
It's the UK, so since it is a smaller country, they probably don't tow as far as you might see in the US...
there goes the front fender and fork seals
So where can we buy one of those hatches? I want one.
Those straps that he's using are from a flatbed trailer used to hold down 20000 lb loads what an insane contraption
Why the front tirevand not the back????
Is this towing frame available for purchase?
I don't think I could master getting the shraeder valve precisely to the position for the final red strap. (Is all this just to push start someone?)
Does any know the name of this hitch or where I can buy it?
Every manual I have read says never to tow a motorcycle with the rear wheel on the ground.
Just take the chain off
Hitches use only one pin anyway , but this will wear out the rear tire faster. I just use a small trailer.
les pneus de remorques ne s'usent pas ???
What happens to the transmission spinning dry as there is no pump lubricating it?? Kaputt
E a caixa da moto, aguenta ela andar no neutro, viajar arrastada? Creio q ela não vá lubrificar o eixo principal
Looks like a great device.
I wonder if this company is defunct by now? I don't see any link to a product website (which would be the whole point of the video).
No caso de vc precisar da uma re a moto obedece corretamente?
Imagine the sales volumes had the audio/music been not so ridiculous.
Just 1 bolt holding this to the towbar!!! Accident waiting to happen if you ask me, I would have stuck the bike in the van instead....
Imagine trying to set this up in the pissing rain
You mean like every other light and medium duty trailer in the world?
une remorque please
Do they have them for sale I tried calling and couldn't figure out that website either. But I'd be happy to buy one if they'd message me a link that's understandable.
4 feet past the bumper means the tail / blinker / stop lights need to be working in some states !
Your tow vehicles lights are still completely visible. So you will not need the towed vehicles lights on.
Get your missus to drive the van so she can follow you there :)
What about bikes with wider tires?
Great, as long as it's not a rear wheel or transmission problem
Great idea. Especially if you drive a small car.
I have a 32 foot travel trailer will this work or not?
like the ideal and the effort. I'm a tow truck driver and it would be less work to tow it with a wheel lift, but the bed is always nice. plus a good driver can load it by himself or herself sorry ladies. be safe out on the highway everyone.

where can i get one
Machen Sie eine reifendruck aenderung am hinterrad ?
Wouldn't that put miles on the odometer
Nice but if the bike has a drive shaft you can't use this.
How about reversing?
wow... not only are you compressing the shocks more than needed but now your putting bad load on the head stem bearings
Great idea, What are the limitations and legalities with a system like this? could this be used on un-registered dirt bikes? or would it have to be Registered, Tax'd and MOT'd seeing as the back wheel is on the road?
You're towing, not driving.
After looking into this and other devices that were similar i found that in the UK this can only legally be used for "recovery" and not general transporting of your bike for that you really need a trailer
@@FranchiseSIX5 towing or not. The bike would still need to be legal on the road to touch it
why all that effin bonkin? I wana look at the devise on be given a headache

1stMrSceptical Dude,..they hired a fuckin' band to be right there while he loaded. That was hard work, unappreciated.
Bet backing would be a blast...............
Well it says for "recovery" so I assume it is for repossessions and they just bill damages back to the debtor
Keys are hanging in the ignition
Only one 3/4" / 19 mm grade 2 bolt used as a pivot and no safty chains from the rack to the hitch.Yikes!
I could ride there while he is doing all that.
Hi there, I am from Spain and I like your product a lot but my concern is about its legallity here ( or in another countries inside UE)
Muito legal !!!!!!!
Obrigado pelo vídeo e parabéns pelo canal..........
New tow a bike on sale now for faired bikes as well scooters. In stock now £330 plus p&p
I need to buy stock in ratchet straps
I'd rather put it on a trailer. Completely off the ground.
Thanks, Homer. Some people (a) don't have a trailer and/or (b) don't have a place to store a trailer which won't be used 95% of the time.
Rob Fern DOH!!!

@@jakeblanton6853 I know. I lived in Europe for over 12 yrs
Great video. Audio makes me dizzy though.
Isso é recomendado para viagens longas?
Será q pode usar aqui no brasil

Tooooo much faffing. Plus wear and tear on rear tyre and drive. Plus those forks are near jammed flat.
Looks like too much pressure on the handlebars.
Can you reverse with this? Anyone?
Looks like the full weight lift is on handle bars some are rubber mounted this would not be a good idea...I rec bike's as part of my job and you know yourself as a bike owner you would like yr bike exposed to the elements and other rd users.
Not really good to tow a shaft drive without at least to zip tie the clutch in.probably quicker to ride than mess with all those straps.
Josss tenannnnn😍😍🤗
i love it. genius
votre appareil m interresse ou peut on se le procurer et a quel prix

Buy a truck? And you strap it down below suspension.
Wooooow donde compró un porta motos asi, en el pasado tube que pagar fletero y sake caro!
300 bucks for fork seals.
AAA, the idea is good.
If it had like Triple Tree clamps that might be better.
You know it just clamps the forks like a triple tree.
where can I find this item?
FORK SEALS ARE GOING TO BLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE TO CRANK DOWN WAY TO MUCH TO LIFT FRONT END!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just don't back up or forget the bike is on there. I'll use my trailer.

I’m not sure I would personally trust just one bolt holding my 680 lbs bike
If you put it on a trailer, there still is just "one bolt" holding it... The trailer hitch / ball is just a large diameter "bolt" with a round head on it...
1 of the worst things as well is if you have a bike with speed sensor on the rear wheel! milage going up and up and up!
Put back wheel first and tie handlebar straight
Looks very interesting, but, I would never risk my bike on it. A trailer costs less then a tenth of what my bike costs and likely no more than this device does.
where can I buy one ?
Not sure I would trust this for long distance but if I was a repo company or just towing to local shop for repair I think it is not a bad idea.
Exactly. You'd be insane to go 1000 miles with it. (although it probably could) But for a trip to the mechanic or painter, etc, it's perfect.
It slips out of neutral you're screwed.
Short distance only .. could blow fork seals .. not worth it .. buy a trailer ..
Could you imagine if you accidentally left it in gear while it was towed. Whoops
An attempt at a world record skid mark? :)
where can i buy one? i cant find any links to shop?
Katarzyna Gazdzik don't
Dont
I am glad his towing a honda

That's cool if, that's what you want to deal with.
I'd rather use a trailer where it's less likely to be hit or destroyed.
Thats a lot stress on front fork!
He's towing it 2 blocks to dealer to get the oil changed
Better to push it...LOL
That contraption is only as strong as to what its attached to. Get a trailer.

That's a good point about the straps. Might want to add another strap just in case. It looks pretty good though.
is this works on a bike with a driveshaft?
