Something I would love to see from you is a faux neighborhood that’s like a Christmas village. Somewhere you’d probably take your sims to live just for a while like a vacation, but with all these communal Christmas in a small town hallmark movie kind of stuff.

This build is... INCREDIBLE!!! By far my favorite I've ever seen you make! So detailed and each house has so much personality! Also, your hair looks amazing! The shorter sides frame your face very nicely! :)
I could imagine that the main house was owned by the grandparents and they decided to build each of their kids a home on the family farm. Then when the grandparents died the eldest child moved in and took it over and the horse one earns money by running a riding school and boarding stables for people to board their horses. There is a $10 million house that has a floor to ceiling window right next to the toilet in the primary bathroom suite. And it is right next to the access road. So anyone driving to and from the house can see the toilet. So I am pretty sure yours is fine lol.
i've been playing nonstop in this build since you uploaded it to the gallery!! its so detailed but still gameplay-friendly and i loved creating sims to match the personalities of the homes/bedrooms

Okay but this has totally inspired me to make a full mini-home/trailer park! I love building mini homes and trailers in the sims, because getting creative with a simple rectangle is super fun in the sims. I could add in a community playground, a “little free library” and everything.
The separate assigned rooms - like the stalls in the barn - could also be used for a walkable neighborhood/apartment building with space rental. Then you can put a lot of skill building things in those areas, and/or maker spaces where they can do woodworking in a reserved, rented area outside their apartment!
19:26 Lol in my game, I had a bathtub on my porch for washing the dog coz the sims kept getting weird about access to it. One rainy evening, in autumn, JUDITH WARD took a MUD BATH in my wooden rickety dog bathtub on my front porch in Brindleton Bay. I was so stunned, I think I forgot to take screenshots. So yeah. Judith Ward takes mud baths on strangers front porches.
Honestly this video saved my Christmas. It hasn’t felt like Christmas and has just felt like a normal day or football party day. I don’t personally like any sports so I’m eating alone watching Kayla and playing sims 4. There’s only 4 of us and I’m the odd duck out. So….yeah.
Love the build, I think the debug shed could be walkable if you put it in a basement and raise it up, I've seen the trick a lot with other objects in youtube shorts randomly :)
Kayla‘s concern about the sims seeing other seems on the toilet while training their horse is so funny to me. as an equestrian i can assure y‘all, we‘re more concerned about riding correctly to notice anybody on a toilet in their own home lol
I tried making a Japanese village on the big mountain lot in Mt. komorebi. It needs A LOT of work but I'm loving the idea of making these smaller themed communities that fit the world

I'm new here. I just started playing Sims 4 last month (played the original and TS2 years ago). I'm having a blast and your build videos are super helpful. I did not get roofs at all until I watched your videos. I love what you've done with this build and I'm inspired to play with it. I don't have either the Horse Ranch or For Rent expansions yet, so I better get on that. All of my current add on were purchased during the Black Friday sale and I've just added more with the current sale. I'm guessing these two packs won't see a big markdown for a while. BTW, your new haircut is very cute and your hair looks really healthy. I think we all feel a little unsure with a new look on us. I used to get a new hair cut during my lunch hour and go straight back to work before I had a chance to play with it and I always felt a little self-conscious.
I love that you built this! I was trying to figure out if there was anyway I was going be able to build an apartment/rental house type that fit the ranch theme for horses.

Just in case someone else comes across this issue. I DL'd this lovely lot and moved my first family into the house with the cow and chickens. I purchased a cow and some chickens and not long into gameplay my family kept locking up horribly. Time would tick but they wouldn't do anything. I repaired. I cleared cache. I moved them into other lots where they never locked up and moved them back to them locking right back up. Anyone visiting would lock up too. After two hours of trying to figure out what the issue was I deleted the chickens and cow and the game started working correctly. I assume this is a Sims 4 Dev's don't playtest their games enough across packs issue and if you have rental lots and the cottage living animals you could get glitches that lock your sims up. So just beware. Otherwise gorgeous lot Kayla. I just won't be able to have the cottage living animals in my save/game. Thanks for all you and hopefully this helped someone else. :D
I’m having the same issue with this lot, where my sims lock up when I try to get them to do almost anything! It’s super frustrating because this build is amazing and I really want to play in it 🥲 Edit to add: I wonder if I remove all the chicken coops from the lot, if it’ll work

Keep an eye on CD Keys. Newer packs are usually around 25% cheaper on there and even more when there is a sale
