I don't know why, but listening to Kayak talk about her cats and their updates, or her talking about her likes/dislikes about the game (i.e. not liking huge houses because it's hard to find her Sim), while we're watching her speed builds, brings me so much comfort. It's like I'm on a facetime call with an old friend who I haven't seen in a while.

she’s said on twitch she doesn’t plan on making a new NSB challenge bc so many people have made multiple different versions already so if you want to play a different version you can easily look it up online & find a bunch

I love the update on Snap! I'm glad she's still living such a happy life and is in pretty good health even though she's a bit older.
this house is so well built i got kind of emotional :,) i live in italy and a lot of houses around here have that style, and the peachy outside walls are kust pefect! ive been stuck in bed for the past week with a cold and i havent been able to go outside, i cant wait to feel better and walk around again!

I have a similar story to your kittens! At my old job there were always stray cats around the dumpsters and wouldn't let anyone near them, a lot of workers/customers tried bringing them home but they always had too many diseases and would shortly pass away. One night I was leaving work and found a fluffy cat that was in that awkward-lanky-teen faze. He let us pet him and feed him and a few of my coworkers were trying to get each other to bring him home, I ended up bringing him home to put up for adoption because my mom didn't want another animal in the house but my dog ended up getting really sick and we had to put her down a little after Christmas, so my mom gave me a late Christmas gift, a collar with his name on it. He's named after a burger sold at my old job, Jesse James. We've had him for just over a year now. He's fatter and fluffier than our other cat just like your kitten.
I watch the not-so-berry builds just to get an update on how many graves Simsie has collected
I love that Kayla tried to translate to us European pounds with 4.5 is far less than 9 pounds, it makes me smile aha😂
If you want to live on a smaller lot, would you consider moving the graves to an underground crypt, or building a cemetery on the lot next door?
Consider, solid color challenge but you have to go by the sorting system in the Sims. So only items that the game considers to that color rather than going off of it you consider to be that color. I feel like this could get pretty silly because some things are sorted very oddly.

i think it would be really cool if you made an updated version of the not so berry challenge, there’s so much more to the game now from 2017 and it would be great to play the challenge with all the new packs we got!!!

Between Kayla and a couple of other building simmers, I bought the game and most of the packs almost entirely for building…because I don’t enjoy playing the Sims as a simulator, but I do enjoy building stuff
maybe try mods! i've heard that they make gameplay really fun, or you can try building challenges - those make my builds interesting :)

this is one my favorite sims houses i’ve ever seen ever! especially as an orange lover who uses tartosa all the time, and big backyards are my jam. perfection!

Beautiful build ❤. No joke - peach gen was the hardest to play with, color theme wise. I did more personal recolors for them than anyone else! Pink is easier to furnish but not that much easier to dress when your pink heir happens to be male (Orange gen's wife naturally got pregnant with twin boys and I never cheat the sex so 🤷♀).
I got pink a hamster to start his postcard collection storyline and I totally got the glitch - I was wondering what the heck was going on with poor Hammy!
Interesting that the idea was to treat the joke star thing as a mid-life crises - for my peach gen he loved comedy from toddlerhood and wanted to be a comedian as a kid, but became a detective after solving the Strangerville mystery as a teen. I sort of accidently ended up with a whole storyline involving his husband and Nancy Landgraab (long story) that kept him plugging away at policing until he finally made chief. That's one of the beautiful things about NSB, how so many of us can play it but no one plays it exactly the same way 😊
My favourite houses to build have always been on 20x15 lots, I only recently started trying to build on larger lots

Simsie have you considered writing a "Not So Berry Revamp"? Shuffle the colours so you don't have pink orange peach all in a row, change up the rules and aspirations and such. Add in alternate routes to go down if you have certain packs (like Green Gen is a base game compatible farmer, but if you have cottage living you must also keep one of each type of animal at all times. Or yellow gen wants to be a joke star, but if you have get famous they must actually become a star.)
I think it could be fun!
I’d love if you updated the not so berry challenge to include new traits and change it up, add or change colors, etc!

For the peach color i think the reason it looks more orangey - Yellowy ish is possibly due to them going off the coloring of the japanese peach which kind of orangy looking unlike the more redish look an American peach has
21:55 is so true! i play the sims 3 and as a kid, i would use money cheats all the time but now as an adult, i had a mod that makes my sims' bills extortionately high. also, if my sims get gifts from other sims, we don't sell it if we don't want it - we delete it or regift it - like i'm going out of my way to make my sims struggle for money lol
feeling sad about a sim dying HAS to be normal, because if it isn't, then I don't want to imagine how not normal it was for me to cry myself to sleep when Kiyoshi Ito dumped me

I love the not so berry challenge, with mine when I build my houses if the thing I need doesn't come in the specific color I usually pick one color (usually black or white) that it comes in and use that instead which is usually only like toilets, tvs, etc

I feel you with the cats with the baby being bigger than the oldest. I have 5 cats. Amara is the oldest and weighs 6lbs at 7 years old. And my youngest, Gideon is only 9 months old and weighs 8lbs. He’s double the size of Amara. He too is in his lanky teenage phase

I also recently tried the splash pool idea by her (I'm not much of a builder so it was a bit complicated for me to understand hahha) and I LOOOOVE it!! The infants can also be held there and dip their toes in it, and it's adorable

I love building small houses and cramming as much little details as I can, sometimes I build big houses, but I don't like how empty they feel sometimes even with clutter😅
You can fix the Toddler pool, I've used it in a few of my builds. And i've got it to work but takes a little fiddling
Could do little tiny homes/granny flats for the other generations or for different 'zones' especially with the for rent pack meaning you can have your family living with you without living with you
Pro tip for burns, soak the area in cool/lukewarm water. It'll be closer to your body's natural temperature than ice cold. I can't remember the reason, but I found out after I got boiling water on my hands when I was wearing wool gloves. Worst burns of my life.

I love starting rags to riches and living on small lots to live in micro homes clutter galore. I started a teen runaway challenge(because I watched Kayla’s) she lived on a small lot in sulani and it was interesting to make her cash by gardening and selling pictures
Could you do a challenge where the house has a randomized color combo? Like black and pink, green and purple, blue and orange etc
