Hi Barton. I play american pool and i ALWAYS use a screw kind low tip position to do my stun shots, no matter what is the distance between the CB and the OB. Good vídeo mate
hello Steve thank you very much for your very informative videos is it possible to make us a video with exercises for d ont drop the elbow because I do everything to get there but I can't get there thank you very much ( how to don't drop the elbow
Brings back memories... Late 70s on a family holiday Had a weeks tuition few hours a day with the great... Ray Reardon assisted by John Virgo had a brilliant time both were very friendly always laughing and joking... Great vid takecare
Liked your coloured ball. Really helps show it. I'd learned the two variances well from some of your previous videos. Thanks again. Just need to get better at judging it.
Mr steve . Please make videos on break building now. The continues pace of building is tough to maintain. After 6 7 8 balls potting mind start to retrain from potting and cue ball control . How to overcome this problem in break building.
G'day Steve, another great video. Any chance you can do another video about throw imparted to object balls when you play angled shots with stun and accounting for this when playing those shots? Dr Dave does some great American Pool videos about it but it's hard to find any good ones for snooker.
The best way to learn is to start off playing a screwback on a short shot, & once you master it, gradually lengthen the distance between the two balls. Master the feel of the shot on each distance, before you graduate the next distance. Don't start trying to screw back off a longish distance because you will never get the rhythm. Start with a short shot. Slowly back with a smooth long backswing, then make a special effort to hit through the ball while keeping the follow-through nice & smooth - & make the shot powerful & snappy with without smashing or jerking it - keep it smooth, give it power, with the tip of the cue on the object ball as long as possible. Once you get the feel for the screw shot on each distance - memorize it so you can use it a game situation. I hope that helps😊
nothing to do with this vid, but on the world snooker last week, a guy with cue and object ball no more than 3 inches apart, got so much action that he screwed the cue ball the length of the table, i wouldnt try that shot due to the push shot, what is the shortest distance you can screw the cue ball without the push shot
Steve sir Somehow things are not happening good in snooker for me. I dnt feel confident. What to do sir? It is quite frustrating. Can u make a video regarding the practice routine one should follow starting from Stage 1 to higher stages. I feel when others can make a 50 break, why can't I? Lot of respect from India.
Making a 50 break is really difficult, you have to be able to control the cue ball to leave it in position for your next shot many times in a row. You have to know how to use all different kinds of spin and hit with the right power, it takes a lot of practice!
Been on a snooker hiatus... Back now as i have found a new challenge - My friend is practicing, so now i need to stay better than him. Hence my return to your channel (i highly recommended it to him) i hope you see this comment joe.. ya c*** 😂
4th view and I recently got a new highest of 35 in my snooker practice. Thank you for the tips mate, they have helped a lot.

Great vid as always Steve. Any good routines for stun practice?
practicing pushing through the white as soft as you can and still getting the stun shot is a great way to develop timing and cue power
I've never had a problem with stopping the cue ball dead but often when I need screw it often just ends up stopping dead.

Cheers Steve great video!
I m struggling with consistently potting.
Will it only come by more more practice??
Can you please explain how if your hitting that low on the cue ball why it did not screw back is it all about power
Make your hand bridge little closer and delivered the cue fully and don't try to punch the cue ball
Is it possible to play stun shot with hitting above center of cue ball?
Only if the cue ball and object ball were very close together. Very rare.
