    Good review with one flaw: the pedals use magnets, not pots. That means they'll last pretty much forever with none of the issues that potentiometers can have like wearing out over time. Of course this doesn't mean they are any good, lol, but at least they won't die on you too soon 😂

    Bought this one because I'm not that serious about sim racing and it was on a huge discount.
    First time I've ever played with a wheel.
    I'm having a blast with it though.

    Some changes from the T150 but the overall impression is that they have reduced the construction quality of the wheel, the touch of the rim is just crappy. The most noticeable changes are the use of magnets for pedals and paddles and those 4 rev lights. We are still accepting the huge price point of these low end force feedback wheels, this thing shouldnt cost more than 100€/$, not double that...

  • @BtotheDon12
    @BtotheDon12 Год назад +4

    If the pedals are anything like the ones that came with the T150, they're definitely not great lol. I think the best thing to happen to me was the spring in my throttle pedal snapping a few months after I got mine, making me shell out $80 for the base Fanatec CSL pedals. Even with those there was a night and day difference. The T150 wheel base still serves me fine for now but man, I do not miss those pedals.

      These pedals are even worse like the t150 pedals feel bad and all but u can still be consistent with them these pedals are horrible

    Outside of the new magnetic pedals for more consistent longevity and a 'better looking' casing (arguable as beauty is in the eye of the beholder, of course), definitely seems very similar to the TMX/T150 as you mentioned in the review. The shift light is a kind of cool gimmick if the support across games is improved. Glad to see newer products coming out with small improvements, but hopefully they'll keep innovating and pushing the envelope for how good an entry setup can really be in the future.

    the wheel is better than something without FFB but the pedals kinda hurt after a bit so I had ended up upgrading them and plan on doing the same with the wheel soon, loved the review though helped me a lot

    Thanks for the review! Now we need a direct comparison with the T150 and t248 (I don't even stutter about the junk from the logs).
    The steering wheel itself is very interesting, but the plastic on the steering wheel instead of rubber spoils everything. Why can't it be done as on dfgt / pro or even momo?

    I liked when i guy in Sim racing world , some old sim racing channel compared all of them , Porche GTI 2 , G25, G27 and they all got beaten in Sim by an entry level Logitech Driving Force Pro , that is sold for 50$ , i see it now for 70$ . And since there is no major difference between G27 and G29 , and G920 we can put them in there and also Fanatec GT2 , RS and GT , all being mid level , Simulation approved wheels , all got beaten by Logitech DFP . By a second , time was 1.27 others were 1.28 .... So having more expensive wheel does not result in you being faster .
    That being said , this wheel got me interested with Belts and gears combined but i see now its a bad product . But i would like to see Someone testing 1000$ direct drive wheel against Logitech DFP or GT , that is like 50$ vs 1000$ , and i wound not be surprised if 50$ one was faster . Since it is faster then all these wheels , at the time of testing there was no Direct drive , closest to it was Fanatec GT2 with belt drive , and that was i think the slowest one but not by a lot fraction of a secound , or there about . They were all within 1,5 seconds window , and cheapest one was the fastest .
    So i think when you buy a wheel you pay for experience mostly . not for speed . Also i had Logitech DFP , and it had no dead zone to speak of . Dead zone in a wheel is not acceptable at all , what wheels did you find dead zone in other then this one . There is no dead zone even in the one i have now Chinese something basic wheel , there is no reason to have dead zone , just makes no sense , gamepads have no dead zone , or at least not one that you can feel , a wheel 900 degree wheel at that , dead zone , that is strange .It just makes no sense . If it is like that , its a tottal disaster of a wheel , but this is the first video that i see mentioning it .

      How many laps are we talking about per wheel, because you need a fair sample to aggregate a tangible result, including bedding in time with the wheel to get used to swapping around different devices. I only say that because I've seen videos of people doing lap time hardware comparisons, and basing their final result on 1 or 2 lap, tests, which is effectively meaningless.

      @@SimRacingCorner No , this is actually 2 guys and one girl , they all did it , and for sure it was not 1 lap , not even 2 , bare minimum 3 but it was not disclosed as in laps but as records , the best time they could achieve , these guys were serious so serious they made a chart , about everything , comfort , looks , mounting , force and what have you ... then they would individually score it , i will take a look i might be able to find it , for i know i was looking at Fanatec GT2 wheel review . let me see .

    • @SimRacingCorner

      There are a couple of holes in the heel section, can use to screw down the pedals. If they are on the floor, maybe screw them to a piece of MDF to give them weight.
