    I had creaking on the TM Open wheel on the TS-PC. For me the solution was to tighten the screws/bolts attaching the rim to the button box.

    Hey Sir, appreciate your early impressions on this wheelbase. I am in the Thrustmaster ecosystem for many years now, so this was my logical upgrade and I am happy with it. I am also running the wheelbase on performance mode with 0 damper in the driver. How would you compare the level of oscillation from this wheelbase compared to other DD units you have tested?

    • @kolysion164

      sadly thrustmaster has no filter, to remove oscillations, like Simucube, the damper filter is not the dampening filter...

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  Год назад +3

      Every DD I've used has oscillation, it's typical. If you add damping, then that will reduce or eliminate it. Or run the FFB mode in the settings to a lower setting. Personally, I've never found wheel oscillation to be an interference, I always have at least one hand on the wheel.

      @@kolysion164 Thanks mate, I don't mind the oscillations because they only come up when you don't hold the wheel tight, which I normally don't do. Let's hope TM will give their users a bit more sliders to work with, rather than forcing them into predefined modes.

    • @GregoryShtevensh
      @GregoryShtevensh 4 месяца назад

      @sertec4804 not really. It's said that some people have had heat issues but I don't think it's any more an issue with moza as it is with this base.
      The Fanatec csl and cs bases have a nice big heat sink and Moza do have a pretty minimal surface area, but most people say it never gets more than warm.
      But there's a law that keeps products being allowed to go over a certain temperature (can cause burns).
      So theoretically, the better the cooling solution or more headroom, the less likely the base motor will need to drop peak output.
      I was playing though. My honest thoughts are moza r9/r12 and r16 are excellent products! I'd be hesitation to recommend the R5 or R3. I recommend the csl dd 5nm and the ali express 180w boost kit of wanted for 50 bucks.
      Moza r5 is already 50 bucks more here. It's like paying for an R5 but getting a CSL DD 8nm.
      So under the R9, I wouldn't recommend other than if you really want a nrg quick release, and don't want more than 5nm

If you had to give a percentage to each, how would you rate them? What the differential? • @SimRacingCorner

      @@SimRacingCorner Thanks so much for getting back to me! Do you think any of that differential is due to the Trueforce system? I am wondering if rigging up the T818 with a transducer on the wheelbase would serve to close that gap...

    • @SimRacingCorner
      @SimRacingCorner  Год назад

      It's not Trueforce that puts it ahead. The Logitech picks up very small weight transfer and suspension elements that the T818 doesn't. The T818 also does this to some degree, but the Logitech is more sensitive. Essentially, G Pro is outputting higher fidelity FFB.

    Io ho il t818.. l ho trovato fantastico in tutti i campi.. il ffb dipende molto dai giochi! Ad esempio su dirt rally 2 è esageratamente spettacolare, come anche su WRC generations.. su ACC è bello ma si sente che a bisogno di essere ottimizzato come del resto in tutti i giochi! tutto dipende dal gioco in cui stai giocando, e cambia molto in paragone di FFB...!! Logitech nn l' ho mai provato e so che ne parlano bene, ma non tutti apprezzano il trueforce ed e molto soggettiva la cosa! Quindi non si può fare un paragone perché ognuno ha gusti diversi e personali.. la base t818 è incompleta per ora e non è uscita con i volanti di nuova generazione come ad esempio Logitech che ha già il volante adatto alla nuova base.. questo fa tanto! Il QR in plastica della base t818 è stato scelto di proposito secondo me per non danneggiare le ruote del vecchio ecosistema thrustmaster.. il QR in metallo sarebbe stato non equilibrato per i volanti al momento esistenti sul mercato, perché sono stati progettati per forze (NM) molto più basse! Un volante progettato per 6 NM potrebbe spaccarsi con un QR in metallo soprattutto usato a 10 NM.. l ecosistema TM è adattabile al nuovo t818 ma non può essere spinto all estremo per una questione di progettazione è fisica! Per questo credo che la scelta del QR sia stata fatta tenendo conto di adattare una base nuova ad un volante adattabile si ma non all' altezza! La TM ci ha dato la possibilità di poter utilizzare il vecchio ecosistema accontentando tutti i suoi clienti ma con i suoi pro è contro! Il t818 ha bisogno ancora di tanti aggiornamenti firmware e driver migliorando nettamente l esperienza in gioco e il software, quindi la base e all' inizio della sua vita e può fare dei miglioramenti non indifferenti! Ancora non possiamo fare un confronto perché al momento il t818 è sprovvisto ti ottimizzazione e della nuova generazione di volanti! Solo nel tempo potremmo dare e fare un paragone equilibrato in termini di giudizio! Ora sono solo supposizioni su un qualcosa di non ancora completo! Questo e il mio punto di vista.. magari mi sbaglio! Buona serata a tutti e buon 2023! Grazie per la tua recensione del prodotto e per i consigli!!👋👋👋

      I have a T300 and it's 9 years old and it works like on day 1. I never had a Fanatec wheel, but I heard a lot of times that Fanatec has a bad quality control and that there are many, many problems with the wheels so I don't think they are better than Thrustmaster when it comes to reliability. Also Fanatec seems to have a very bad support. I can't say anything about Logitech reliability, but Logitech definitely is a company that wants to get as much money out of the customer as possible. Before the T300 I had a Logitech driving force gt then I got I PS4 and Logitech decided to not make it compatible with PS4 although they could have done it easily. Thrustmaster at the same time decided to make there wheels which are working on PS3 compatible with PS4 and now many years later they made it compatible with PS5 instead of forcing you to buy a new wheel. So company policy of TM is better than I would expect it from a company that still wants to earn money. Logitech company policy is very bad in my opinion, therefore I'm not buying there products anymore. But it's definitely up to personal opinion if you support that or not, or if you care about that or not. And if you only play on PC it doesn't effect you anyways so you might ignore that
