You are right. She did gradually lose a bit of herself week to week. By the end, she was nowhere at all from where she had started at week 1. She lost something that you could see was missing in later performances, like weeks 6-9.
somehow the people of the show wanted her to change her style and her looks and she basically gave them the finger and said "I can't change myself, this is who I am". SHE friggin ROCKS!!! lol and I hope somebody gives her a music contract because she definitely deserves it. In my opinion she's better than Amy Lee and I just LOVE her voice.

I am sick of so-called "fans" of bands mindlessly rejecting any covers of their apparently "favourite" bands. You people make me sick. Cover versions are exactly that - COVERS. You are respecting the quality of a great song by doing YOUR take on it. Just think about all the cover songs Nirvana did while they were on tour - would you piss on them the same way for it? Of course not. Don't Hate, Appreciate!
She couldn't have won...one the band wouldn't have a female lead, two, she (at the time) was going to be picked up by a label, so in a way she already was set. I remember being on a tour bus and seeing her name on a list of names of recently signed artists. Oh well, she's doing really good now with her new band.
