That was a concert from a professional singer.
Storm's rendition of that song is just otherworldly.
Besides she's absolutely stunning.
She is famous actually. She is storm large, the backup singer of the world famous band "Pink Martini", that became more popular than the original singer China Forbes.
She is one of the best female vocalists that I have ever had a chance to hear alive in concert. Besides that she is so charismatic, beautiful, interesting and sexy.

She’s taken a song and completely made it her own. That is what separates her from the crowd. Good looking woman with a great voice. Her age is irrelevant. She’s obviously been on the road a while by what she said about being in music 30 years and this is her chance to grace a bigger stage. Good for her.
She is amazing, she took that song and turned it upside down and flipped it to a whole new level....I love her voice!!! She can easily do extremely well in a broadway show! Amazing!!

Ok, just spent an hour binge watching Storm’s performances on Rockstar Supernova…I loved that show! As hard as she can rock out, I think her voice has only gotten better, and she has more control. I think she has learned over the years that sometimes, less is more. She’s an awesome performer!
Why aren't some of these older ones like her a huge star?? Talent agents aren't doing their damn job because this woman should already be a star!! Quit focusing on these young perfect looking teeny boppers and start finding real stars like her!!

I’ve been a fan of hers for years , at least since the 90’s. I could never figure out why she never took off. She’s incredibly talented and has only gotten better.
She didn't want to enter the machine of the business and get shaped like a pop star. She is and always has been, uncompromising in being who she is. I'm glad she's found success on her own terms. She's done amazing things.

She's internationally known, has toured with Tony Bennett, Has been on several famous talk shows including Oprah and Ellen. Now a days, there's so many people who are releasing music and star in network exclusive shows... Exposure isn't what it used to be. I don't know who half the people are winning Grammys. Lol
How am I just hearing of her!!? This audition is The best I have seen. I've literally watched this six times and counting. I wish I could get This exact performance on CD without the audience. Just amazing! Simply freaking amazing!!!!
Across all platforms, this audition has had over 1 million views in 24 hours! She is the greatest singer/entertainer I have ever seen! For those of you who have never seen Storm before, all I can say is JUST YOU WAIT!!!! Better yet, find her on RUclips and be amazed.
I did watch what ever I could find on tube. She is about to get the recognition she has deserved for so long I hope.
@@lindapeters5497 A few years ago, she told me that she was not famous. I replied that she would be as famous as she wanted. It only took 30 years for her to become an overnight sensation.
@@beefyano1 It's crazy that it's taken this long. I've been following her music since I first saw her on that Rockstar show, her voice is something special for sure. There's a lot of insane talent and flashy acts this year, it may be tough for her to win but hopefully being on the show pays off big for her. I know I'd buy anything she put out.

20+ years ago I was in PDX driving home from work down West Burnside and decided to stop in at Dante's for a beer.
I walked in and Storm was crawling across the stage with a chef's knife, singing the best version of "Hopelessly Devoted" (ONJ) I have ever heard. It was creepy, sensual, and raw.
Punk rock lounge music at its best.
When I finally looked around at the ground EVERYONE was captivated and unable to look away.
I immediately bought her CD "Storm Hanging with the Balls".
It's still one of may favorite albums.
She should 100% be a superstar!
I pull out my Hangin with the Balls every few weeks. It has aged well. I bought her "Got Milk" T-shirt one night she played at Dantes. She insisted on signing it with a nice personal F-bomb and it still gives me a chuckle when I wear it. My wife thought I was becoming a stalker going every Wednesday to Dantes until I brought her to a Storm show and then she understood.
There are so many amazing musicians who will never be recognized. She's been a professional for 30 years.
She was on a comp show in 06 called Rockstar. She's been on Ellen. She has song with a few bands and solo. She's performed all over. She is a professional singer and she is awesome but, until everybody knows your name you're not famous.
Her song LADY LIKE, is everything!
I remember her from that show as well. She made a lasting impression on me that I knew her by name as soon as she was announced. Good for her!

She grew up in the 70’s so she probably was heavily influenced by that music. I grew up with 70’s and 80’s music as well.
I've seen her live twice..wish it was more. Sometimes it's the 70s rock vibe.. sometimes it's pure punk and sometimes is a style some call lounge-core.

Sometimes we all need to understand that certain performers take different paths in their careers. Storm Large has made her name known worldwide. Her fan base is huge and the AGT experience was just a great example of how she could expand her fan base even further. Going from her incredible rock talent, her years with Pink Martini, her wild and fun performances on intimate stages and her incredible ability to sing with great orchestras, her raw talent just goes on and on .
I followed her well before she auditioned on AGT, and I 😮was surprised she chose that show. Just as anticipated , in my opinion, her audition may have been one of the best ever I’ve seen.
I’ve seen comments that stated “I never understood why she never took off”. Well she was doing well before the show and continues to take off. It’s what called fan loyalty and why this incredible woman’s fans adore her.
I’ve posted before, the other Portland on the East coast of Maine would love to have her discover our appreciation for her talent.
Saw her sub for the female vocalist of Pink Martini at Marin Civic Center, CA, - she even sings beautifully in multiple languages. Saw her again at the Green Music Center, Sonoma State U, CA, with her own group and then again at two private 50th BD parties, one in SF & one in NY. She’s an exceptional entertainer as well as an incredible singer!

Left Seatlle in '01. Miss the music more than any other element. Wish I'd have known about her in the late 90's. I'd have loved her.
She is quasi-famous, just in a "audiophiles and other musicians know about her" kind of way. I mean, she has several albums under her belt, has published a memoir, and was on Ellen and the Rosie O'Donnell show. But yes, she has much more talent than so many of those ridiculous acts who are constantly in the public sphere that it's ridiculous.

I'm surprised she's not famous in the US. I'm from Turkey and I listen to her every day. She doesn't just sing, she fills the stage with her incredible electricity and flows like a river....
Can't believe these guys are pretending that they have never heard of her. I've been listening to her for over 20 years. If you want to hear / see a great little punk-ish performance from 20 years ago, look for Storm Large - Great Day. Her book is also a very interesting read, being about overcoming mental illness (I should have had it signed when I had the chance). Hope she does well here. This new generation needs to experience some non cookie-cutter type talent.
Mental illness or possessed as Heidi put it. It does make me wonder. A lot of possession cases are misdiagnosed as mental illness.
But again, I'm just wondering. I can't fault her performance.
