    Like all your sequential stuff and have your discography but this video flat out made me buy a Dark Time. Thanks much for this one.

    The 'Dark Time' videos I watch all seem to capture the superb essence of 70s analogue sequencers and coupled with your excellent skills make this another favourite. Thanks. (Bandcamp release pleeeeaase)

    Quite entertaining track U made with onl one oscillator and a zoo of FX-devices. The dark time is a "like-2-have" device 4 me, i can say...

    🤫My doepfer dark energy doesn’t know this exists! Have tried mating it with the beatstep but it feels a bit cruel 😂

    Hi! can you real time record using midi in from a keyboard?

    • @arjenschatmusic
      @arjenschatmusic  Год назад +1

      Hi JP, it's not possible to record sequences through MIDI on the Dark Time.

    can you reveal how you are using the delay effects here?

    • @arjenschatmusic
      @arjenschatmusic  5 лет назад +4

      The two delays (Moog MF-104Z and Maxon AD999) were set up with different delay times and were panned seperately on the mixer to create a stereo delay. Note that the Moog has a lot more cut off in the repeats than the Maxon, so you only hear the low frequencies on the left channel and more high frequencies on the right channel.

    • @louiseisobelevans
      @louiseisobelevans 5 лет назад +1

      it sounds great. I'm going to use that technique but using digital delays only for now.

    • @louiseisobelevans
      @louiseisobelevans 5 лет назад +1

      @@arjenschatmusic - did you lock/sync the delay time to clock on the Moog?

    • @arjenschatmusic
      @arjenschatmusic  5 лет назад +2

      @@louiseisobelevans It's synchronized by ear as there is no way to sync it to a clock. I think the delay times are 1/2 and 1/4 of a note.

    Nice! But... not 100% single oscillator, is a sawtooth with about 33% mixed in square wave with a bit of modulation from lfo 2.

    • @arjenschatmusic
      @arjenschatmusic  5 лет назад +4

      Thanks, you pay close attention to details! Though its output is split into two waveforms, the sound is still generated by a single oscillator.
