I tried it yesterday...and it was amazing... everyone likes it... It was my first try of cake...thnx 4 sharing this easy recipe.
Recipe was quick to put together, results were great and everyone liked them, Jazakallah khair 🙂 the only downside was that it took almost 1 hour to finish “baking” them, I felt I should have just put it in the oven as 1 batch 😁

Recipe:
- 2 eggs
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 8 tbsp oil
- 4 tbsp milk
- 1 cup flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 pinches of salt
Chocolate batter:
- divided vanilla batter
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (adjust as necessary)
- 1/4 tsp instant coffee powder with 1 tsp water
Doubled Recipe:
- 4 eggs
- 1.5 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 cup oil
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 4 pinches of salt (adjust as necessary)
Chocolate doubled batter:
- divided vanilla batter
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder (adjust as necessary)
- 1/2 tsp coffee powder with 2 tsp water
*yields 24 servings*
Directions:
1. Combine eggs (room temperature) with sugar and vanilla essence in a bowl
2. Beat the mixture well until it looks a little light in color
3. Combine oil and milk to the mixture and mix once again
4. Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt
5. Mix everything in with a whisk until smooth
If making chocolate batter:
6. Divide the vanilla batter into another bowl (leave more batter in the first vanilla bowl)
7. Sift in cocoa powder to the second bowl
8. Add in coffee powder mixed into warm water
9. Mix everything well
Cooking Process:
10. Grease the sandwich maker and wait until hot
11. Put in 1.5 tbsp of batter into each triangle
12. Cook for 2 minutes then flip each cake (adjust cook time as per your machine)
13. Cook for 2 more minutes for the other side
Notes:
* I noticed my machine cooks it perfectly without flipping if you leave it for 3 and 1/2 min
* you don’t have to grease it that much between each batch of cakes
