    Did I hear right?
    93.3% of the population are metabolically unwell!?
    OMG.
    Thanks to Ketogenic diet (initially I did Lion for the first 3 months, then 4 months Carnivore) I’m healthy once again and feel positive that my mental state will get better and better as will strength and fitness return more and more.
    Lost 51 kg in 7 months.
    HbA1c was 8.7, now 5.4
    Loving life

    Thank you to the guy that asks for a chart of how much meat to eat in ounces!!
    Edit; and then her answer was buy my book. Then later after Doctor Berry talked, she says ”with all this information it can be confusing. Look at who gains to profit.” L O L like your book?

    Shouldn't beef, mutton, pork and most milk be avoided because of NEU5GC ?

    • @lilaschwarz6014
      @lilaschwarz6014 Год назад

      I think Dr Ken Berry addressed that question in one of his and his wife's Q&As. He was of the opinion that it is nothing to worry about, just one more additional "current thing". There are other reasons to stay away from milk. Lactose, growth hormone, indigestibility for most people, inflammatory effects for many/most people, danger of overconsuming due to addictive effect, can trigger carb cravings and weight loss stalls.

      I’m just not seeing it as insulting. I guess if you’re _looking_ for some hidden meaning, but I’m not sure why one would do that.

      The man was of Indian culture/heritage according to his looks and accent. In his culture, women and men are not considered as equal as it is the case in Germanic cultures. It's his way to show he sees them as equal and values their achievements. No need for men to crawl for feminists.

      @@nitareed4088 - Well, I have one of her books, and I kind of agree with the OP. However, I think it’s mostly because she’s being very inclusive to her potential audience, and I’m probably maybe two standard deviations away from that mean.
      In _this_ talk, I vibed with her a bit more, and didn’t really take (a large) exception to anything she said; I was curious what others may have disagreed with. Also, if I _did_ take exception to something, I would mention _that;_ I see no reason to put it out there whether I “vibe” with her or not, just for that sake.

      @@altosack The reason that I did not connect to what she was saying is because it comes across as squishy...more of the non-committal garbage that has led people down a path of slow death health
      People WAIT til they are sick to do better instead of realizing they should do better and not get sick.

    • @altosack
      @altosack Год назад

      @@nitareed4088 - That’s very interesting, because that’s kind of what I get from her book, but didn’t notice so much during this talk.
      Just remember we’re all different. I do well by going all-in right away, but can understand many find that too daunting to consider from t=0. I also think her overall method will get (some of) them started, and some positive results may get many of those to research further and go all-in soon.
      Will that work for everyone? Clearly not, not for me, and apparently not for you. I still took a few positive things from her book, but probably won’t refer back to it much or buy more of her books. If it comes up, I _may_ recommend it to someone, but I probably won’t be close enough to someone it would work for to be giving them advice.
