"Because I'm just a mean sonofabitch"
That's one of my favorite House quotes
It’s the best !
I love that line
“You can’t demand to be treated like any third world sick person AND call a press conference”
“They treat me special, doesn’t mean I am”
But YOU called the press conference
His point was he doesn't believe he's special, but since other people do he'll use that to his advantage. Its manipulative, not arrogant.
@@SolusDarkcoat You not believing you're different doesn't make it so.
@@thyreradim7885 Except when you’re a hypocrite. Believing your not special yet enjoying privileges is the contradiction. Like a billionaire living in the lap of luxury but saying he’s no different than a homeless man.
@@___Truth___ BINGO!
@@thyreradim7885 True, but you're the one asserting that he is different, so the burden is on your to make your case. What might that be?
I agree with House, not taking the cure to your illness because “you aren’t better than anyone else”but then you have no problem accepting pain medicine etc. even though they don’t have it available to them, that’s just hypocritical and stupid etc. Really irritating because of the hypocrisy.
What is TB, before anything ?
@OverDose Thanks ! They said it closer to the end of the video. :)
I think the worst part of the TB thing was the hypocrisy.
@@Loj84 didn't expect that Norm joke in House comments 😂
@@DaneOrschlovsky :)
"Why would you do that?"
Because everything you've said and done shows him you'll cave first.
Lightning!
Also did he really just tell a famous doctor who has practiced medicine for a long time that they can't handle people dying?
He said House couldn't handle the guarantee of failure. House's mission is to save 1 person a week. Most weeks, he succeeds. Dr. TB's mission is to save every single person dying of TB. He KNOWS he can't, even if he saves a million times as many patients as House. That futility would make most people not even want to try.
@@donanderson3653 Mostly because House knows the mission isn't futile because of medical fact. The disease is easily curable. It's a political and business thing that allows it to remain. So it holds no interest for House. The diagnosis is already there as is the cure. Like with the clip where he plays with a kids toy while taking the idiot mother to task about not vaccinating her child. It's corporations out to keep billion dollar profits that are killing the people with TB. Not doctors.
I love how foreman and Wilson just having a relaxing time lol

Not just people. The official channel, too!
@Vinnie G ME TOO BRO, ME TOO
@Vinnie G It is.. sometimes I wonder what a movie bringing House back would be like. I'd start it with House in a wheelchair, taking care of Wilson before he passes in some far away Canadian care home. And then later House escapes the care home (because he has to have a daring escape) and stands out of his wheelchair, takes a trip across country and back to the US all to meet Dr. Hadley, who is the throws of her disease, and House mercy kills her. Fucking DARK movie tbh but House was always like that loll
I honestly feel it is one of the best television shows of all time.
10 years now.
A missed out moment that shows how much house cares for his patients is that during the cardiac arrest, he never took his eyes off the patient. He waited till the patient was revived to tell the cameras that its not TB.
He doesn't care about the patient he's just fascinated by the puzzle. If the patient dies before he can solve it, he feels like he "lost the game". That's why he's so concentrated on keeping the patient alive.
@@yourenviousenemyhe cares about his patients too he’s just a brat about showing it. For sure he loves the puzzles most, but to say he doesn’t care about his patients is disingenuous towards house
I always hated Dr. Sebastian for his smugness, I tended to prefer Dr. House's smugness.
He's not smug. He is just really sarcastic.
Sebastian is smug because he thinks he's doing good, and being smart about his decisions, while House is smug because he IS doing good, and knows when something if futile.
@@RoryVanBeek Good way of putting how I could not put it. Haha.
Foreman sees House go on live TV, and just chills next to Wilson and a comatose patient enjoying a bag of chips. He's completely used to House's antics.
Livingston is a great actor. Really like how he interacts with Laurie in these clips

She’s talking to. TB patient without a mask. I’ve worked with TB for years. Madness.
Go spend more time with it, because unless someone has the disease, it’s not contagious. People with the infection are not contagious. House knows it isn’t TB, his team trusts him, no mask. Not to mention, can’t really wear a mask on a TV show without viewers being able to hear dialogue.
So’s everyone else. I agree: madness. lol. They best start on isoniazid ASAP. lol. Unless the person didn’t have active disease.

Wow, made a comment about "House comes close to camera and shouts - That is not TB" in the previous one and here it is!! Thank you
I LOVED this show. I couldn't wait all week for next episode. This one was one of my favorites...especially when Foreman and Wilson were sitting in the patients room eating chips and watching this happen on TV.
House: “THAT is not TB!”
Me: “That is how you do a 4th-wall-breaking moment within continuity and within character.”

I don't get this protagonist syndrome in real life. You are a single person, not a god. Saving a million lives is an amazing achievement even if you fail to save another million. Saving a single life is plently

Lmao, people like TB guy should always get trashed whenever they do end up dying. They don't realize how annoying it is to manage someone like them who has a messiah complex.
Although annoying, out of many character flaws people have, the messiah complex is not too bad. People find it annoying because they know they should also strive to do something as good as them but simply will not and that makes them feel bad. Considering he is a doctor trying to save millions of people's lives from a disease, wouldn't you want to have more doctors like that if you had Cancer or any other disease?
@@jimmytimmy3680 People who usually demonstrate messiah complexes always view others as beneath them, inflating their own ego without justification, and those kinds of doctors are not the ones you'd want. In this case, you could see that TB guy has been manipulating everyone as he's more concerned about his "message" to get what he wants even though he's wrong about everything and doesn't realize it. You do not want a doctor who claims he can cure any disease because not all diseases ARE curable and they're not the only good doctor in reality. It's better to have someone objective and grounded. Also, the messiah complex is more often than not recorded in people with bipolar syndrome and schizophreniacs anyway, so you know what's up.
No truer words were said. I'm proud of your title

Nobody sais " CLEAR " in real life when using defibrillators.
Yes you do, both with AED or old fashioned paddles. You don't want someone touching the patient when he's shocked.
@@slome815 everyone around the patient is aware of what's going on. The thousands of times I've had to give cpr to someone I've only heard the word " clear " a handful of times. There's only 3 or at most 4 people around the patient. They also use defibrillators waaayyy too much in Hollywood. Usually if cpr isn't good enough they just end up calling it.
@@jeffreyval9665 "Usually if cpr isn't good enough they just end up calling it."
Wait what? That's certainly not the case here in belgium. It's also utterly absurd. It's almost always the defibrillator/aed that restarts the heart after cardiac arrest. CPR usually just keeps the bloodflow going until someone arrives with the AED. I know CPR can restart the heart in some cases, but that's just so uncommon compared to a defibrillator.
A doctor deciding not to use the defibrillator during a cardiac arrest because CPR on it's own didn't restart the heart should face serious disciplinary action. If the heart is asystole, sure, the defibrillator won't help, but that's not nearly the case for most cardiac arrests.
