This is exactly what I needed to see. Although I aim for loose I often get overwhelmed by the amount of information in a landscape and so my landscape paintings tend to be over-thought and over-worked. You just painted a better loose landscape in 15 minutes than what I take a couple of hours to do! I’m going to try following along with this to get a better feel for simplifying landscape paintings. Keep going and eventually you get more smooth....but just when you think you are good at watercolour it throws a bit of rough just to keep us in our place! All good fun 😁
I always get so inspired by watching. Then when I try, I am in too much of a hurry and can't figure out the composition or color scheme. In essence I end up with a masked off turd!
