I made it through the video!! I bought a 2014 Ford F150, Supercab, 4x4. It has a LOT of miles, but drives great and I really like it. I have been thinking about expanding my vehicle maintenance tools and abilities to where I can do what my F150 needs when the time comes. This video is an inspiration to do just that! Thanks, Matt!
Thanks Brian. You know I used to make fun of fords but this transmission was the last straw. As much as I love the truck, Chevy has lost its luster. The f-150 is a great truck.
Hey Matt, Coincidentally I have a 2019 silverado that is the same body style. My hat is off to you for tackleing this project. I always draw the line at auto transmission rebuilds as far as diy. So sir you've earned my respect! I enjoyed the video very much and will be considering an additional cooler for mine. Well done.
Wow, Matt! That was quite a project. Hat's off to you, for tackling the rebuild of that tranny. You are correct about the lift and the trans jack. They make the job doable. I don't think it would be possible without both of them. Thanks for sharing.
I absolutely made it to the end! I've got a 2017 GM, but she's a diesel so I have a 6 spd Allison and she's never run hotter than 210 F ever, even when towing for hours, so I hope I am just watching for fun and not a future repair! I also bought an e-stopp for my bronco so I will enjoy seeing how your install goes. I was thinking the e-stopp will act as theft deterrent, and plan to make the switch placement inconspicous, since Bronco's are top optional (easy to get into the driver's seat). I will need a lift first before I can start to appreciate a trans jack, but I totally agree with the sentiment: but the tools instead of paying for someone else's labor... that and I have trust issues. More tools for me, and I know the job was done right! Cheers!
My neighbor Carl who had the acid dipped 66 from one of my earlier seasons did the e-stopp in his bronco. I think he put the bottom deep inside his center console. But thieves are dumb so you could probably put it anywhere. Haha. Yeah Allison makes some good stuff. Back in my army days the M1 Abrams had an Allison transmission behind the AGT-1500 turbine engine. We went through engines like pancakes but the transmissions were never a problem! Good to hear from you.
All of us bronco guys watched it. I’ve done 3 gm transmission rebuilds, so it was fun to watch someone else go through it

You think your done with Bronco. Funny guy. No such thing as done Bronco:) Hope to see you in Medford some day.
That’s true. I’ll be at the Tom’s event in July. You going?
Well done, Sir
Thank you for sharing your expertise
I watch the entire vid. 👍
Yep, made it to the end too! Impressive you took on an AT job. Love your shop man, one day…

Thanks Ron, as always. I did the 90 Silverado many years ago in the old garage with just a floor jack and jackstands. It was miserable.
Fantastic, but what a pain!
Thanks Mark. Total pain.
bronco guy here and made it to the end. Great video!
Same here!
Thanks Tom!
@@billh5592 thanks Bill!
