I generally prefer to buy higher end shoes from previous generations that are now on discount, but I'm always interested in getting a lot of bang for my buck. Trae Young did wear his budget line a decent amount, and Dame did as well, I believe. Speaking of Dame, I can't wait for the Dame 8 EXTPLY!
Dame Certified is my go to budget shoe & grips so well on dusty courts. I recommend everyone to to tie their Dame Certified in a runners knot to fix heel slip. Surprised the Precision 6 isn't on the list, cushion is stiff but aside from that not a bad budget shoe

I’ve actually expected a WOW model to be on the list. Especially after seeing that the Dame Certified is at nr.2. But still a great list. And I agree on Signature athletes not wearing their budget model. It just feels like they’re trying to get more sales just because of the name of the model. Russ is probably the only one I know who wears his budget shoe.

I recently just discovered that shoes with very thin uppers and are kind of see-through, such as Jordan 37 and 36, often cause blisters and foot pain. There’s not enough padding like personally I never have any blisters playing in lebron 20 because it has thicker knitting, softer materials. Do you agree, Tommy? Shoe companies want to make shoes lighter and show off their fancy technologies on uppers nowadays, but forget about comfort is the most important thing.
Exactly, I would very much agree with you on that. And that was the biggest reason I really didn’t like the Jordan 37… 38 is much better actually 😊 But yeah I’d much rather choose a shoe that’s comfortable on feet than a “premium” model supposedly loaded with tech.
Just got the Ua lockdown 6 today tried on in store near me. Dude..this is the best feeling shoe. And right besides it on the shelf was the nike air impact 4 i also tried on. For anyone wondering between the 2 night and day difference. Get the UA lockdown 6. I swayed away from Nike I dont believe they give you the most durable and outstanding performance shoes for their insane prices.

After much research and deliberation, I got the Lockdown 6. First Impressions: - Fit True to size. I tried 1/2 size up and while it was roomier, I felt like after the break-in it would be too sloppy. Also, on the larger size the arch support was too far forward and felt weird. I have flat feet that sprawl on my forefoot but I also have a slender ankle. The forefoot of the shoe hugs my foot nicely but I can feel slight movement at my heel. There are a few things I know to do to help the heel stay in place so not a big deal, for me. - Traction It was everything everyone has been saying about it that I've watched; the traction is very good. - Heel-Toe Transition & Energy Return It flows nicely. I don't feel like I have to exaggerate the step motion (not clunky). On short runs there is even an ever so slight bounce, which is nice. - Cushion To me, it feels quite stiff. However, the more they are being broke-in the better it's feeling. Overall, to me, the shoes feel great. I feel confident and empowered to cut and explode anytime I choose without a worry that I'll slide or roll an ankle. Thanks for helping me pick this shoe.

i'm a pro hooper with a low contract this season. I play overseas. the shoes I brought are not cutting it cushion wise I def need something new and affordable. sucks i'm in the middle of nowhere and these shoes aren't cheap here

Which ones are the most cushioned and great for outdoors play? I am a heavy swingman who loves to post up and use my strength to bully opponents but i also need loads of forefront cushion. I never land on my heels nor run on my heels. so i dont understand why brands have most of the cushion on the back.
@@TommyLiu4 Thanks, Been using the Air max impact 3 and Spawn 4 outdoors. This was after i blew my Tony parker 7's and Peak Underground goat Lou williams. Love the mid cut of the airmax's. I even use them to squat due to their better ankle stability if compared to my Reebok Nano x1 adventure gym shoes.

Yes, Jet ‘21 I put in the honorable mentions at the end here. That shoe was hella comfy with the soft foam collar and traction was surprisingly good too. Jet ‘23 is on the way too 😁

Yes break in is needed - but fairly easy to break in for me, like it didn’t take too long. I find that they’re narrower and more snug than most Adidas basketball shoes - so maybe that’s why the toe box was feeling that way for you? For a softer and better toe box fit, Trae Unlimited is great for that. 😃

The reason why athletes dont wear their budget line shoe is because of sales. If they wear it it urges the consumer to purchase more of it than the signature one, ofc they need to promote the signature ones
Thank you! Umm it’s pretty decent. However personally I’d recommend the translucent outsole over solid rubber on the MB.02 - there’s quite a difference in traction performance from my experience.
Lockdown 6 would be better for wide feet. Otherwise these two are pretty much fair and square to me, Jet ‘21 has the best material comfort of all budget shoes.

I think the PUMA TRC BLAZE COURT are probably some of the best shows you can get well under $100. I just got the Mikey Williams for $100. I honestly think they are slept on so heavily. Hey, for me they fit right on going true to size. To me it’s basically like: Spawn 4 great, Spawn 5 better - with added stability. So I think the Spawn 4 is for sure still a solid choice, no bad pick here 😃

They both have excellent durability for outdoor use. You can decided based on your foot shape - One Take 4 for wider feet and Dame Certified for medium-narrower feet. Overall I’d lean towards the Dame Certified for better responsiveness.

I think the PUMA TRC BLAZE COURT are probably some of the best shows you can get well under $100. I just got the Mikey Williams for $100. I honestly think they are slept on so heavily. But still, an amazing list as always and you’re my go too, along with the Foot Doctor. Your sub count needs to grow even more man. 🍻 bud.

Hey, for me they fit right on going true to size. To me it’s basically like: Spawn 4 great, Spawn 5 better - with added stability. So I think the Spawn 4 is for sure still a solid choice, no bad pick here 😃

They both have excellent durability for outdoor use. You can decided based on your foot shape - One Take 4 for wider feet and Dame Certified for medium-narrower feet. Overall I’d lean towards the Dame Certified for better responsiveness.
