    We needed more type 45s
    At least a dozen type 45s
    And 2 dozen type 26 frigates

    • @tombrowett8063

      type 26 is very powerful for a frigate. Probs would only need 12 of those. type 31 however we would need 24

      @@tombrowett8063 W don't need ANY T31s that are as ludicrously underarmed as the mere five we're actually building. Though tbh c12 genuine GPFs of the type will likely suffice, assuming they're ever actually given credible weapons/sensor fits

      Should be building a different class Ship every year. Destroyers & Frigates. We have enough money and a highly skilled workforce. If you wish for pace prepare for War.

    Yes argee It's a good video and good amount of information and you even talk about it weapons on the carrier although, I do think it needs extra self defence weapons system on it 3 cwis is not alot of self denfence, yes I know the carrier does not sail alone but as a last resort it only take one stray missile just to hit the right area of the ship and bye bye also the destoryers need to protect them self too ammo is not unlimited it not a cod game.

    • @squirepraggerstope3591

      While to complicate matters a bit more, the 65,000 te figure is for std or 'normal' displacement and the QEs full load displacement is actually 70,600 metric tonnes, or c77,800 short tons

    The decision to go with conventional power over nuclear power wasn’t smart in my opinion. They severely handicapped that Carrier compared to say the USS Gerald R Ford.
    They are getting 200mw of power while the Ford can produce up to 700mw. As future tech develops further the ford has the power to expand new weaponry among other things. The Elizabeth with require more down time to retrofit to take on newer tech and the power demands.

If you could go anywhere with impunity, you would go around to Opium Empire building again. Carriers are outdated like the dreadnoughts were long ago. Don't believe ? @@joem0088 Define the term "widely", this is the first I've heard of it.

    • @joem0088
      @joem0088 3 года назад

      @@emintey Perhaps not widely in population % sense. I mean widely within the IR community, the people expecting/predicting war for structural reasons include John Mearsheimer (realist), Graham Allison (Thucidides trap), ... who have"wide" follows. The Chinese are obviously building up for war, doing ship target practises, a lot of amphibious drills, adding missile inventory and ships at high rate. The pentagon drone on daily about the Chinese threat, while relations between US-CN at 40y low. You really haven't heard. If Taiwan declares independence, everybody I know expect war 200%, and that may be before 2025. Whether the US will fight is "widely" uncertain, but they have tripwires in Taiwan.
      On the Europe side most media drone on about Russia build up on Ukrainian border. NATO threaten involvement in which case HMS QE will face Russian anti-ship missile either in the Baltic or Black sea.
      My final word. If you want to send peace signals, send ballet company, horticulture shows, Turner paintings exhibits. If you want to send war signals, send HMS XYZ. Buzz your F35 around, so Chinese AWAC can tune their radars.
