    The Eucalyptus Patchouli looks very appealing to me. Does it feel like a lighter wearing, more ephemeral type of scent? Or do you think it would linger and project?

      Lighter wearing as I remember. But I don’t have those samples anymore to be able to check for sure. My overall impression of eucalyptus is that it is quite a top note that tends to disappear quickly.

    Here you can read a little more about the three Neshama fragrances and their full names:
    www.etsy.com/shop/neshamaperfume
    I can really recommend trying these fragrances although they are a little on the softer side. Shopping is free and the cost for a 15 ml bottle is about 60 euros. (When I was browsing a message popped up from the seller offering me 10 percent off. The price mentioned is with that discount).
    The Oud Sandalwood is my favorite, it is beautiful! Very natural smelling. The longevity and sillage are under average, though, in my opinion. And it might take until September 30th to get the delivery. It is hard starting out a new business😩

    I'm so behind on youtube videos, I can't seem to concentrate on them at the mo, but I find you easy to listen to.
    I got to a kind of stuck point with sampling and discovery sets and didn't know what to try next despite perfume friends giving me plenty of suggestions. So I signed up for Pafory (like Sniph) so I can collect over the coming months some 8mls of things I have tried and would like a smaller size of.
    Anyway back to the video, hope you are well Kicki 💎

      I see! Welcome back. I get into periods like that, too. When it is hard to listen. Do you get to choose your own fragrances with Pafory? I think Sniph makes you choose a category and then they make the choices within that category. I know what they have and there isn’t much that interests me. Hope it will work for you! Pafory might be better.

      @@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 yes you can choose! And you can buy 8mls without subscription. I once bought an 8ml and it took forever to ship. But they must be quicker with subs, they shipped within 48hours and it took a week to come from DE to UK

      Have tried it many times but only in store. Would need to try it properly at home. Had a sporty flanker of it in a decant once, but it was not my thing.

    Hi Kicki. I am loving your videos. I've said it before, but I seem to share your taste & a lot of your preferences in perfume and I hope it doesn't sound weird, but I get a kick out knowing that we have several of the same fragrances - kind of like I have a perfume kindred spirit on the other side of the earth. (I'm in Northern California). Even though I also listen to & enjoy several perfume reviewers whose general perfume tastes don't match mine that closely, it definitely helps to find people who share our own tastes. I recently picked up a bottle of Balmain's Ambre Gris, which I'm enjoying & Atelier Materi Cacao Porcelana, will likely be my next big purchase. The rum note in it is too die for. I have three renditions of Chanel No 5 in the EDP, EDT & the Eau Premiere (2007) formulations. My favorite is the EDT because to me it's the closest to the more vintage Chanel No 5 of the 70's, which is when I first started wearing & loving it. So for me personally, the EDT embodies that sense of nostalgia and romanticism that fragrances can provide. If all the different formulations of Chanel No 5 were diamonds, I find that the EDT has a clarity that I don't find as much in the others. It also lasts the longest on my skin. I'd love to get a bottle of the pure parfum, which I've never owned & I'd like to have the l'eau formulation. I have the EDP up for sale on Mercari because I always choose the EDT over the EDP.
    Interestingly, while the EDT does have a lemon note listed at the top (at least according to Fragrantica), I don't detect it, however to my nose the Eau Premier has a quite strong lemony accord on the opening that I've also heard others say they get too, even though there is not a lemon note listed. I find the sandalwood really shines in Eau Premier & for that reason it's a bit more woody and also a bit less aldehydic. But I find them all beautiful.

      That is really cool! Thank you for interesting comments about the Chanel no 5-line. Where in Northern California? That is where my Mom and my relatives are from so if I go to the states, that is where I will go.

    Really, I'm first to comment? Lol! With regard to your gift from your friend, you are absolved :o) Since I'm sitting here watching and my decants are next to me, I just tried on Cartier Oud & Ambre. Right off the bat I get amber and patchouli but maybe I am smelling oud, which I really am a newby with. I've been wearing it around now for 30 min. and it is a very beautiful soft, warm amber. I really like it. It seems a tiny bit woody in the base so comfy and slightly sweet. I really like this Kicki. It has some presence around me so I imagine others would get a whiff here and there. I will keep wearing today as it is cooler and drizzly here. Is Baiser du Dragon super heavy patchouli? I see a mini on a resale site for super inexpensive and I was thinking of trying it. oxJulia

    • @thehonestperfumereviewer6336
      @thehonestperfumereviewer6336  Год назад

      Not at all heavy patchouli. It is so well blended with the other notes and it has a sweetness, a nuttiness and vetiver. Every time I wore it felt different. It was interesting! Much to discover there. But I like patchouli a lot. I think it plays an important part even though it is not dominant. Nice to hear about you trying Oud from Cartier. They are not Middle Eastern style ouds, these three.

    • @StelmaDesigns
      @StelmaDesigns Год назад

      @@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 I am very tempted to buy this little mini then. I like patchouli, just not full on as a main note. The only perfume I own that has a major oud note is Oud Ambrosie by Maison Lancome, and it's hard to take all day and it lasts...all day. I just don't know if this is representative of real oud. I got 4 samples of some serious Middle Eastern ouds from IntenseOud online a few years back and they range from barnyard, to straight up fecal. I have smelled some Tom Ford ouds so there is a wide range clearly. oxJulia

    Hei! Another great video with a lot of interesting topics. I am so fed up with this brands that focus on two notes, yep I know that there are more than two notes involved, with names like Bois The or Citrus Patchouli or something like that. To me, this feels like unfinished perfumes, I have tried some from brands like Essential Parfum and Maison Crivelli, and there are plenty more. Boring! I much prefer Chanel No 5 or even Dior Addict, they are perfumes that are real perfumes and not just impressions of two or three notes. I also have to mention that yoy have influenced me! I got really curious about Filippo Sorcinelli and the different fragrances and inspiration behind it all, so I ordered some samples. Very exited to test them!

    • @thehonestperfumereviewer6336
      @thehonestperfumereviewer6336  Год назад +1

      I think the one and two note focus is to make it easier for us to remember them. Because in most cases, there is a lot more going on in these fragrances. I think it is helpful. Amouage frags are so difficult to remember the names of. Like which one was Memoir and which one was Journey etc? With two key notes or an “encens” or “santal” in the name, it seems easier to differentiate them. But I see your point!

      @ildriaresvik6468 Год назад

      @@thehonestperfumereviewer6336 you may be right in this, but I do not feel that I need "help" to remember a perfume. If I do, then it maybe is not a very good perfume in the first place. But then again, just my thoughts about this trend or what to call it.

    • @thehonestperfumereviewer6336
      @thehonestperfumereviewer6336  Год назад +1

      @@ildriaresvik6468 I understand. There is a brand that really has lost me due to their names. It is D'Orsays new line where they have called the perfumes two initials and then a long name in French. Some are like a whole sentence. All the bottles look the same and the juice is the same color or at least almost the same color. That is a problem. I can't tell them apart. Maybe they are too similar anyway, but I think it makes a difference.
