Cool reaction I like all singles so far cuz they are all different from each other. I'm happy to that at 60 still making new Music and I'm 55 happy to hear it. Hopefully next 8songs are Brutally fast and loose but if not it ok.Been fan since 84. Classic Rock Magazine heard the album gave it 8.5 out 10. Said it fast riff wise. Last song is 11minutes long fast as can be. To of my favorite bands are putting out new music on 14 Metallica and Overkill can't wait
I think it will be a solid album, will definitely pick up a copy, Metallica like many was my gateway into Metal when I was 12. I’m looking forward to hearing rest of album 🤘
You're a year older than I am and I've been listening to Metallica since Ride the Lightning was released. Those were the good old days of the original thrash band. Metallica killed it on their first four albums. They were my favorite band growing up and they still are. I own every album, seen them live several times and I always find myself going back to the first four. I agree that it's great they're still putting out new music but one thing I notice is that these songs wear out fast. I can't remember the last time I listened to Death Magnetic (including beyond magnetic) or the Hardwired albums and load and re-load have been collecting dust for a very long time. I won't even talk about St. Anger even though I like it more than the last two albums. Still the greatest metal band in history though....
@@jamess3532 yeah I still support them and buy all their albums , I most listen to the first four as well, I do pop in the black album and hardwired sometimes, I was obsessed with them for like 10 years , I used almost only listen to them at one point , like 90% saw every tour , still love them but taste have changed and got into other bands🤘
@@metalmusicmeltdown It's funny as I get older I actually like the heavier stuff. I'm really enjoying many of the Melodic Death metal Bands with Amon Amarth being my favorite but I also like quite a few of the young thrash bands many of which aren't signed yet. These bands are putting out some great thrash metal that sounds like it it's straight out of the mid to late 80's. When you get a chance do a search on RUclips for Tempest, Seizure, Manic and Exmortus. Another band that has some really kick ass albums is Amken. Just too many to name off the top of my head but there are a lot of young bands doing the genre proud.
Nothing they will ever do going forwards will sound like their first albums. I’m one of “those” fans who didn’t get into Metallica until the Black album. I had to grow into their earlier catalog. IMO, this is my favorite of what they’ve released so far from this new album.
I really enjoyed the song. I do agree the length of the song could be chopped down. They like writing long songs lol I think it will a little better than Hard wired. The 3rd song If the devil had a son for whatever, it’s really catchy but repetitive for sure

Always love watching old school metal heads react as they are genuine no fake shit and will tell it how they see it
