I am not a professional woodworker or woodturner and working with machinery can be dangerous.

You should hide a can of Yorkshire Grit around Makers Central each day for someone to find. It seems to like hiding in strange places anyway.
I have had this idea (using wood in jewelry) for days now . I checked on Pinterest to find it's a real thing and now I find you have already been doing this ! Brilliant ! I love that you can use every last scrap of wood . I saw some that mixed resin too !!!
I've been recently going through a fairly intense spike of anxiety recently, and I gotta say Nick, you always manage to make me feel better. Keep at it, I love your videos - your sense of humor and love for the craft is incredibly inspiring.
Hello Nick, From someone who goes back a bit further than you, very seventies retro. If you need to straighten your emblem, don't dig it out. Why not try drilling a pattern of additional holes of different sizes, (maybe only one other smaller size), irregularly around the edge and then make sure that you drill the one that you want in the upright position. 'Simples!'. Regards, Glenn. :-)
Nick maybe a Yoyo with milliput?
Max Tinsley i was just about To say the same Thing
Yeah I thought that too :)
Brilliant video mate, thanks so much for the shoutout much appreciated. Can’t wait for Makers Central. Great pendants. Catch up very soon. Cheers, Jim
Jimson's Stuff im going to the show be good to meet you as you are a fellow hampshire hog
It will be great to all meet up
I was so looking forward to coming over to the U.K. to attend Makers Central. Airline, hotel and show tickets and reservations all purchased! Unfortunately, last Monday I was admitted to hospitality a Pulmonary Embolism. Now I’m grounded and can’t fly. I’ll miss being at the show and getting to meet everyone.
Best of luck and to all who attend, have a great time!
Schultz6325 hope all is well sir . All the best to you
The one with your emblem in the middle I would totally make into a keyring!! That'll be cool to buy at makers central! 😉👌 love the pendants too. Great job Nick!
You won’t need to change gloves while mixing if you mix white first, then terra cotta, and then black. The darker color swallows up the lighter color.
This channel IS the most entertaining channel on you tube ( or any other similar system ) Keep up the good work ,Thank you Nick.
I really like the colors! They remind me of a calico cat.
Audrey Morrell thought the same thing!
Another excellent project Nick, the pendants look very cool! Thank you for all the great videos/ projects you do, I always look forward to watching the latest vids. Take care dude & have a great weekend
Sweet! I haven’t tried working w/milliput yet. Love it!! See you next week!! 😁👊🤘
Try distressing the wood with the claws of a claw hammer and pressing the milliput into the claw marks letting it set then turning away the excess leaving small gouges and lines filled with color.
Ya, I would use Milliput if they had the colors I use. Never thought of taking my Yorkshire Grit to the beach. Good call.
Lee
Love the pendants! When you're turning full time... make some with epoxy or colored pencils!😜😜😜
I thought you were Making a set of coasters to begin with until they were all a different size but a necklace I didn’t guess x
Valentine would be a great idea for him to do bigger ones as coasters
Great one Nick. Good idea.
Very cool pendants! Well done
You should do something with orbeez and resin!
Camo milliput and Yorkshire Grit. Can't wait to see everyone. Time is running short.
Oh, and thanks for the shout outs on Tools with Fools Podcast!
Never leave the jokes out Nick! Lol
I really like this simple idea and I'm feeling super inspired now...
Keep up the awesome
Awesome work!! Love your videos!
Realy cool looking
Great work !!!! 👍
All the best for the New Year. I love all four necklaces that you made today. Hoping everyone got something good from Santa.
Cool projects Nick! Thanks for sharing the video with us.😎👍JP
Those charms look very....charming Mr. Zametti...
Just shows what can be done with a bit of this n that....
Hey Nick they 'turned' out great, slightly off just like you! 👍
Been wanting to try this stuff. Good video on the use of the milliput, thanks! I make a lot of salt and pepper mills and duck and game calls, milliput will add something unique.
Tarry Frey make sure when you use the Milliput that you mix them exceptionally well and that the area that they’re going into is very clean. You have to push them in firmly so they stay and that there is no air bubbles. Good-luck! Worth looking at Jim Overton’s web-site. Cheers Sean
What a great thing you have accomplished Nick! I hope you have a phenomenal time at the makers event coming. Wish i could fly over n join ya!
When you drilled the holes in it I thought you were going to have them stacked along a stick or pole of some sort pointed in different directions as some kind of funky sculpture. Now I kind of want to see you do something like that!
I hope you get some sneaky resin in your next projects, the sneaky one is my favourite type of resin ;)
Love these, Great project, lol RAMBO, Hahaha, Love your videos, Hugs and Blessings from across the pond to you and your family.
Great idea 👍🏼
Nice little project Nick. Love the milliput and I've watched a few of Jimson's vids. . Looking forward to flyin over from Dublin to makers central. Should be brilliant.
Bart makes my wife and I giggle when he pops up.
Nice project. Might make some nice belt buckles. Gotta get some of this stuff. Thanks Nick.
This was a cool project. I enjoyed the various patterns of each piece. I definitely like the various hiding places you find the Yorkshire Grit lol
Hey thanks dude. hah lol glad you liked it all the best to you
Fun project Nick. Must have a play with milliput myself 😁
I mixed in some fine brass shavings/dust into black milliput and it came out great :) makes for some interesting guitar fret marker material ;)
I guessed wrong. I was thinking yo-yo. But your ideal is very cool to.
So very calico!
I have dyed Millput with resin powder dyes only works in the white one and only a small amounts of powder and you can get some cool pastel colours and it kinda works with metallic ones but it comes out kinda streaky it don’t work with the liquid ones it made a lovely mess and it don’t set up
you did a good job and a creative idea.
That’s a neat medium to use.
Nice! Hope all is well with you and your family! 💕
Back from the bars in America for a sweet NZ vid... no disappointment here
Soooo thought you were making a yoyo at first haha still super cool like always!!! I went to school for precision machining and miss working on a lathe
A fresh yorkshire grit found in it natural habitat . nice looking necklaces
Excellent...
Cheers...
I love them
Wish I could be there for Makers Central! (Also wish there was a “Find the Yorkshire Grit” scavenger hunt lol)
Great pendants Nick. Not long now :-)
the mix of color makes me think of koi fish, I'm not sure how it would be done but a wood carving of sorts with that stuff for scales would be cool
when ever you say " hopefully a short video" i always immediately look at the time lol
Love the pattern, reminds me of a tortoiseshell cat we once had. Would make lovely coasters, but you might have to varnish the Milliput.
Clever idea! Maybe try a larks head knot on the string, so they lay flatter?
exactly what I was gonna comment
SilverSpun PolkaDotPunk Great minds think alike. Even though I did have to google it to remind myself the name. Ha.
интересная идея, супер , и красиво
Yay, Yorkshire grit at the beach! I would totally wear any of those, but I really like the one with your brass emblem in it. Also, "Lark's head knot", google it. =)
Nice, so You could make coasters with it 😉
cool necklaces. i thought you were making key chains at first. lol
DAN c same👍🏻
Now you can make a Checkers Game Set!
Very different!
Hi Nick see you in Birmingham great video take care. Y.N.W.A. Paul
That's very interesting
Very entertaining and informative. I live by the sea so I'll keep a look out for Yorkshire grit that has been brought in on the tide. Is it a natural product or shipwreck salvage?
This will be 2yrs old tomorrow. Time flies
👋 Hello thier after seeing your thumbnail i had an amazing idea/challenge. I think it would be pretty difficult to make 18mm plugs out of resin and wood. (Discription = if you looked at it from a side profile it would look like a forest under water. Imagine your pencil planet sphere cut in half in the form of a guage "plugs". I would love to see something like that on your channel or anything guage related because well you have so much talent and your very entertaining. Anyway thanks for your time and i Love your work.
Will any of the actual show/event be streamed live? I'd love to see that milliput demo, but I can't get to the UK any time soon
Hi!
I just love those!! I wounder dose it come in pink , purple and maby glitter in? Such funn things.
I wounder if you can or thought of doing something like Book covers, or something to the sewing room stuff? Something to putt the pins or sewing thread on? So many funn things to do...hihi
My inde goes 1000 miles in many directions. I so wish I could go to the makers central to have some funn and see all you are doing there. I can just hope something like this done in Sweden too. Maby it is and I havent found it jet. This is quite new too me.
I wish you all a good time with lots off fun and getting many new idees and friends there.
Higs and love to you all from Sweden
Awesome pendants, Nick! I would totally rock those. I would love to buy one. Will you include some of these on your website? I have it saved so that I can purchase some things in a bit. One more thing...Can I get a shout out? Love the channel.
Very nice Nick. Can you put this stuff all together like a blank and turn something out of it? Maybe a small container or something.
I think those are great! I'd like some of the larger ones without pendant holes I'd like to make bolo ties with them. Will you sell them.
Haven't seen you do Mulliput stuff for a while Nick, this came out great.
Diemen Design thanks man 🤗🤗👍🏽
Ooops, I just realised I spelt Milliput wrong, slap me silly, lol.
Looks like fun! Will you be streaming any of the makers central for us not in the U.K?
Hi, first time seeing one of your videos. What resins do you use the most? I use Alluminite resin but mine is never as hard as I want it. I mix equal amounts with measuring cups but my rings are still soft, especially if I wear them in this summer weather. It's also very humid where I live so that might be an issue. And advice?
Good job mate, it's great stuff
How about milliput in resin??
cool
I wanted to see hiw milliput fixes to wood, it was a bit long winded but very funky cheers
Cooool
Nick why not roll a string of each Milliput color and braid them? Then turn a bowl so you can make an inlay with the Milliput 3 color braid. Wither inside at the bottom, on a rim or on the outside. Should be looking awesome.
They'd make awesome oversize buttons for a knitted jacket :-)x
If you had blue, green and white Milliput (if the blue and green existed...) you could do something like that to look like planet Earth from space. You could also put black and white Milliput, or black Milliput with glitter round the outer rings to look like space!
nick you should make a milliput pen would look great .
I think that would look real good as a yoyo, but could you do it on both sides?
Hi Nick ,quick question will the guys who you had your resin pressure tank from , will they be selling them at the show? And i like the look of useing milliput in some of my projects , so looks like i will be getting some of that from the show too 😊
Just a thought, if you did some chatter work in that pattern, would the Mulliput adhere stronly enough to stay in the chatter pattern. Thinking if it did it could make some interesting patterns with colour. Yes, Mulliput we need (or Nick rather) needs more colours, lol.
Would look nice as a design on a small jewellery box
I think you should do something like this but with glow in the dark resin kinda like a mystic amulet thing
Hope you don't mind me asking a resin question but... I have a broken china mosaic tea tray that was given to me but the resin coating has gone weirdly sticky and yellow. If I grind it out as much as possible with a dremel will I be able to re-coat it with new resin? Or will it end up being a horrible mess?
Your best bet, would be to contact the company who makes the resin.
Nick: have just received from Amazon here in the USA and wonder if you have to do anything special to the wood to ensure bonding?
Ronald Ainaire no mate not really 👍🏽
Great work!, some one needs to count how many times did u say “so” in ur videos 👌🏻☺️
Hey nick those are pretty cool sir. I have a question for you. Do you have a sticker in your shop?
Will you be recording some of your experience at makers ?
Savanna Raley defo x
Nick Zammeti NZ WoodTurning I’m excited! I’ll be watching from Washington State USA
Can you use a texturing tool can cut it deep enough to fill the cuts with Milliput?
Hi Nick
Could you advise what brand and model of chuck you are using in this video. Thanks Ed
Ed Murney it’s the easy chuck from Eastwood tools
Ahh The Four Medallions of Funk.
Could I use the white and black stuff to fill bits in a shed door and its frame then sand it and use wood paint on it?
I thought you were going to make a couple of yo-yo's with the 4 blanks.... Maybe next time.
Cheers,
Ben
