I like pump action shotguns because I grew up with them. I mostly hunt turkeys so that’s perfect for me. Reliable, cheap, multi-shot capability.

For myself and my intended use I'm leaning toward a single shot Break action. Less moving parts and less weight.

4 auto loaders and a pump. All 28” barrels. The weight of those O/U guns - Ugh! Thank you for referencing barrel length and powder burn. The former I was curious about but knew the latter.

I have a Remington 1100 12 ga.which came with a 30" full choke barrel, with no option to change chokes. Later I bought a 26" barrel, with 3 interchangeable chokes. It handles much more easily with the shorter barrel. BTW, Billy made the comment that a semi-auto shotgun has less felt recoil. My gun came with no recoil pad, and I have never felt the need for one. The "kick", to me, is negligible. It takes only 2 3/4" shells; If It fired 3" or 3 1/2" shells, it probably would need a recoil pad. BTW, this gun cost me $139.50 New in 1966. The name appearing with this comment by me, Melvin Hoskins; Judy started this comment application software under her name, but I use it.

I’m old school still like my old 12 gauge double barrel. (Side by Side)

You guys need a round table in that case you don’t have to turn heads so many times.
    Thank me later 👍🏻
