Just bought a new walnut and blued X-bolt in 3006 ,,,and guys here is what I like about it the most ,,don’t set it down in the woods guys or you won’t find it ,,there is absolutely nothing on it that shines,or reflects,,this rifle is absolutely the most beautiful rifle I’ve ever held and the first loads I loaded were less than half MOA at 100 yards and I did that with a 3/ 9/ 40 scope. The barrel is free floated ,,it’s fairly light ,,the balance is perfect,,the bolt is super smooth ,,the only con about this rifle I can find is ,,if you buy one and shoot it much ,,it will put the idea in your head to go out and sale all your other rifles because they don’t have any of these tremendous qualities.
Great rifle. One suggestion for improvement is to ban all philips head (and traditional slotted) screws. Let's please all agree to use allen or torx on everything. Thank you.
Make it in a 300 wsm with a 20 inch barrel and I would probably buy one still have browning a bolt in 300 wsm it’s got a short barrel and I just love it
"At the end of the day it's hard to make improvements on something......" Well, there is one specific reason I don't own Brownings anymore. I shoot left hand and no one has been able to tell me how to get the trigger down to 1 pound. Even Timney couldn't tell me if their trigger would work in a left hand rifle. Their website indicated their trigger could be set to 1.5 pounds and I could live with that, but no left hand trigger listed. I understand they/Browning may think their x-bolts are close to flawless but how about making a trigger where I can replace a spring, like on a Tikka, for roughly $10, and get that pull weight down. I'm used to my Jewel, TT, Bix-n-Andy triggers that allow 1 pound and less which is perfect for me.
Couldn't agree more. I have a few brownings and had to have the trigger worked on by a gunsmith. 3lb triggers are a thing of the past. 2lbs is the new norm if you ask me.
I own both in a 6.8 Western, but my FFT is a 20” barrel and my X-Bolt is a 26” barrel. I love both rifles. My Ridgline is a bit more picky on choice of ammo though.
For the love of god, please give the user a better adjustable trigger. 3lb triggers are in the past and no one wants them. 2lb is the new norm. I do understand safety concerns but 2lbs is still plenty safe and all other manufacturers are selling their rifles with adjustable triggers which go down to 2lbs.
@@flynnryder7798 If either of you don’t mind changing out the tension spring, M•Carbo sells a spring kit that will bring the trigger pull down to 1.5 lbs. They have a video that shows the process.
I use to feel the same way, I couldn’t stand the looks, nor wanted the weight and extra length. That was till I shot my cousins rifle with his mounted. At my age, I can’t afford anymore hearing damage than what I’ve already done, plus, it cuts recoil down. I now own one and I’m looking at getting another. Honestly, I don’t give a crap about looks anymore. The suppressor outweighs the looks, plus mine is only 8 oz. I’ve taken my last two bulls with my suppressed 6.8 Western, and it was like shooting a 223 with the sound of a 22LR. No more ear ringing. I’ve also found that accuracy is better with the suppressor.
10 out of 10, would recommend!
Enjoyed the video. Good looking rifle

thanks for your input!
I sure recommend y'all. I have over 50 years of history with Carter's!
Thank you so much! We appreciate your business over the years and look forward to continue serving you in the future!

Lighter/adjustable trigger and sub MOA guarantee in order to run with competition that offers both. Can't imagine that's too difficult to accomplish.
Does anyone make aftermarket chassis for these?

Is the X bolt 2 made in left hand as well
No I'm lefthanded and I call browning myself and they told me maybe in a few years .

Mcarbo makes a trigger spring for the xbolt. Have mine at 2lbs.
@@ericwendlandt7808 Thanks. I'll look into it. Any idea if 2 pounds is the lowest?
I went with ta Christensen Ridgeline FFT...
Yikes. Keep the box for when you need to send it in

That’s the only reason I haven’t bought an xbolt.

Have to stop with suppressors on standard calibers. Not needed and ugly.
