Yes and no. Brimstone is great at stalling defuses but that requires him to potentially reposition away from his team leaving them vulnerable and unable to trade. This also means his molly and ult cannot be used in any aggressive way prior. I see what you are saying and think he nudges out Omen who has regenerative smokes which is huge post plant.
@@Dragonmar Yeah and Omen can use one-way smokes in post-plant, while Brimstone probably can't since his smokes don't refresh. I also find it easier to land one-ways with Omen than Brim because of the arrow indicator.

I tried Brim once when someone instalocked Omen and I couldn't pick him. The whole game I was just so bothered that his smoke range was so short (and not free) lol

Great video man, I agree Omen seems like a much better agent (I'm a brimstone main). Although I agree with majority of your points I disagree with the incendiary, I get a ton of damage and every now and again a kill, its great for holding off pushes and even plants. I find it extremely useful backing up a smoke. I also think they need to buff brimstone and I think they will with his pick rate dropping, he needs a smoke recharge AT LEAST. Again, great video man! By the way, I think you never really fully blended the scenes at that Molly vs Paranoia part. The old scene just lingered on top of the new one with like 2% opacity.. Thought I was tripping for 2 minutes straight lol
I am a brimstone main and I get a kill or two out of my molly and use it to clear tight spaces and all and I really like the ultimate of Brimstone one of the best post plant ultimates to use
Being a one-trick Brim (Imm1), its best in a team where we play uber passive (2 sentinels and 2 entry) or be the balance to an aggressive team (3 entry and fill) Although Brim is good for beginners, to use Brim optimally, i think the IQ needed is on the same wave length as Omen but in a passive way The only things I can fully agree that are Brim cons is that (1) Brim is SLOW(BUT his utility makes up for it in a 'passive' way) (2) Stim could use a buff to make it more useful (Only time i use stim is mostly to give a firepower edge at chokepoints when pushing or defending) Brim's molly is good but you need to know the game to use it well... Delay Pushes, Deny Area, Dictate Movement Brims ULT (similar to molly) is a better than Omen's ULT because i literally can (1) Deny Areas (2) Force Pushes (3) No contest a planted bomb... Omen's ult does have its wizardry but at higher level gameplay it wont happen often which makes a more consistent Brim ULT better I would say currently in the meta (not considering GODLIKE Mechanical skills and aim like pros) Brim > Omen in terms of utility Just my two cents (PS I really need to add Breach and Omen into my pool LOL)

As an immortal Brim main, his abilities just have very low potential for outplayability. You’re forced into being very deliberate with your utility usage and for solo queue it’s just tough to be effective with him unless you’ve developed the nuances. at that point you’re better off learning omen who has way more potential. the only reason why i still play brim because i have him down to a T and not having to think about how to use abilities let’s me focus on actually shooting people.

Brim wins rounds if you learn to post-plant molly every default site from about 4 angles each. Can literally win 1v3s without shooting a bullet this way. I also prefer brim on Split as his molly is large enough to completely block angles. I agree otherwise though
As a controller if you wanna be aggressive and frag out, Omen is by far the best choice bcoz of his flash and his shrouded mobility. If you like to stay back and play passive, Brimstone is also really good bcoz now the stim beacon is buffed and you also have the best molly to stop pushes or even clear choke points.
They really do have to buff brimstone. Omen just seem too good compared to brim. Molly lineups barely work when it comes to actual matches. Plus brim smokes range is small. Stim beacon is pritty much useless. The ult is why many pro teams still use Brim but that also has been nerfed with 7 ult points being needed. They really do have to do something about this.

I really liked him at the start but then I realized he's not that good in soloq or for ranking up cuz u can support your team but not really carry your team which u want to do in soloq. I think his stim beacon should be reworked , increase the distance u can smoke , and reduce Molly price
In short: Play Brim if you're new to the game or a more passive player. Play Omen if you're a more aggresive player. Brim excels at setting up one site but when your smoke is out and you are forced to rotate, you're as useful as Reyna who can't frag.
I main omen as well, and I have to agree with your analysis. I pretty much only play brim on bind, because that seems to be the meta currently but I find that being able to smoke from A-B via Omens smokes adds a lot of value. I honestly feel like the differences between Brim and Omen start mattering as people get to higher ranks. In lower ranks, as long as your gunplay is decent, you're going to get kills, going to make the plays and going to be able to carry your team. In these ranks, if you have good crosshair placement and peeking mechanics, it doesn't matter if you have a molly or a flash or if you can reposition or not (because nobody wants to trade kills down here, remember?). You can consistently get the kill on the enemy player even without any ability. Your kit starts mattering once you get to the higher ranks where everyone has solid gunplay. Flash vs Molly starts mattering when you realize that simply peeking well is not enough to get a kill or gather info because the guy holding the angle is just as good with his gun as you are, and he probably has a friend ready to trade him the moment he dies. Teleport vs Stim Beacon starts mattering when you realize that the enemy player is not going to charge while looking at your feet or make a rushed bad peek just because he knows you're there and you're low on hp. So I feel like Brim is honestly not that bad in the lower ranks. You can smoke, you can molly people out of cubbies and corners, you have another big-daddy molly that can kill or at least flush people out of key areas, so you really don't get that bad of a kit (even though the Stim Beacon does pretty much nothing, but hey, you can save creds and that builds up over rounds). Couple that with decent gunplay and you can climb the rank ladder well enough. Is he going to get as many flashy kills as Omen? Probably not. But is he going to stop you from getting past Bronze? Absolutely not.
As a cypher main i find omens very annoying because they can just tp through my trips lmao also in low ranks omens suck they think they can outplay so hard and die
Omen shares a lot of the same ideas of Brim! The biggest thing is to remember your smokes have way more range, your flash is insanely good, and you can be more aggressive. At his core, Omen is still a superb support
Dragonmar I was more concerned with how to get better I understand the utility but my aim struggles because I’m so focused on utility I’ve tried unrated but that doesn’t really feel like an accurate reflection of how my games play out in plat I guess what I’m asking is did you just play a ton of unrated or did you just try and tough it out in a comp match

Brimstone is just way less fun to play than the others. Other agents have flashes, special abilities, walls, and cool ults and such. Now look at brim. You get to put down smokes with a few clicks, a basic molly, and a device that makes you shoot faster. I don’t wanna do that, I wanna blind people, I wanna teleport behind them, I wanna shoot rockets at them, I wanna dash and concuss and wall and frag out. Brim doesn’t have any of that. The only brim mains I would expect to see playing brim are people who are brand new to the game.

greatly appreciate the extra clips to improve the point you are trying to make! I don't think you fully set the opacity of extra clips to 100% tho. You could see the split gameplay very vagely in the background, making for a weird effect. Quality video nevertheless!
Imagine how broken omen would be if u can use weapons and move in the few sec before u shrouded step ...im an omen main i rarely use shrouded step for tp behind them plays i use it for positioning only and paranoia for team support (sometimes for sticky situations to get few picks) and definetly still working on quick one way setups but i would really like to see more from the shrouded step that would make omen a dualist + controller kinda agent ... he is in a good place rn but a tiny buff would make him more fun.. besides paranoia + shrouded step = madness

I made the mistake of getting the pistols in the agent contracts and did not get omen first and was forced to use brim. It was hard.
New logo is clean only thing is that for the channel icon maybe make it less busy background and minus the name so you can see the dragon

Actually, they just bufferd Brimstone's stim, like 2h ago, I just learned. But only increasing the fire rate buff from 10 to 15%.. Meh
In short:
Play Brim if you're new to the game or a more passive player.
