It sure wouldn't hurt for Americans to have a clue how our government works. It's all about representing as Americans as possible when it come to Congressional debates. The focus and goal should be to come to an agreement that satisfies all sides. In this case it isn't Congress that is necessarily hung up on the wall, especially since the Republican Senate had already explicitly followed Trumps directive to come to an agreement on a budget and that He would sign what was presented to Him. Trump of course decided to reverse Himself at the last minute after taking heat from Limbaugh for caving.Our government was never intended to operate like this and given both sides refuse to back down will leave us with only two options. 1) Trump gives up and makes a fool out of Himself for promising something never intended for Him to have authority over 2) A civil war. Which will it be? If Trump get's His way in ANY fashion it will be the rewriting of our constitution. He is is absolutely attacking everything our forefathers ever had in mind in the first place.

Trump talks about a tall wall made of concrete with surveillance tech above and beyond the wall. A wall like the one eastern Germany had. That was his promise. Not a fence.
The berlin wall was very crude and sloppy looking with long stretches of it nothing but barb wire and guard towers. If trumpenstein built a wall like that, it would cost about $12.50, but you would need like 20,000 guards.
The wall was not crude and sloppy. It had 71.000 Spring-guns, anti-tank barriers, a minefield, was a concrete wall and a fence wall.

There are so many things wrong with the wall. First of all, with today's technology, why would you ever build a physical wall when electronic surveillance is more effective and costs less? Second, Mexico hasn't been the main source of illegal immigration for years. It's Central America. If Trump is such a great dealmaker then he should strike a deal with Mexico to beef up security on their southern border. It would be cheaper and more effective, but wouldn't have the same crude emotional appeal to his supporters.
How dare Trump not imperil the entire nation over a wall. How dare he choose the reasonable, sober headed path for once in his crazy chaotic fling at being president?
