- yup so I tried cramming the basics of japanese within 24 hours. so for november (my birthday month) i decided to do some solo travel to both taiwan and japan. I studied japanese for 2 years in college but I def needed a refresher. i also know a lot of you guys requested study vlogs even tho i told yall i graduated lol.
anyways. I also included a mini halloween vlog for you guys at the end!

I'm often told by my foreign friends that Japanese is difficult to study as a foreign language, but Via's Japanese is very good! (And the way she speaks is really cute❤️)

@@Samjoy82 I use Japanesepod101. You have to pay for a subscription but you can often get discounts. Easy Japanese podcast is also an incredible resource. It's aimed towards beginners to intermediate students, and it covers both casual and formal Japanese, and how to have practical conversations. They teach you vocabulary and sentence structures naturally, so no crazy memorisation tactics. Really really recommend! Hope this helps

This is so inspiring to me I’m trying to learn French to better communicate with family that are more comfortable in gailige and French!! It’s a difficult language but I was not going to take on Irish, French just comes more naturally idk.

Studied Japanese at uni, the conversational aspects were not hard imo, but the reading and writing is quite difficult. Even if you absorbed Hirgana and Katakana, the blend of Kanji on top of those other with those characters is one of the reasons why its ranked as one of the hardest languages to learn. Imo, I believe immersion is one of the most effective way to learn, not just learning with grammar and character writing workbooks.

As Japanese learner at university, we have some lessons with native speaker teacher, and i guess not so many people pay attention to the accent, or at least they pretend not to care :D
my accent so "not japanese". and a little hack for google maps in Japan: try to search some cafes and restaurants in japanese, because not every place has an english variant on map
