Perfect gentleman who loves his kids and family! What an awesome guy who looks forward to his little ones!He is in cloud nine!😅 Heartwarming and what a lovely family! Thankyou LH,happy weekend!!🎉
Thank-you LadyHawk. They are getting themselves a regular routine going now. What is up with "sticks on backs" with eagles? LOL🤣They all love doing it. It's so funny. Is it just their way of being playful? I just love it.🦅💞🦅 I just posted a question in comments to you in your other video (Daytime Incubation Shifts) But here now I see the segment (part of it). So I'm removing it there and placing it here...... I saw something cute today. It's brief & maybe you'll see it as I see it. 17:45:45. (best views start on cam 360; end on cam 1) First we know that she has a preference for dining on branches, always has. Lately she's at least moved closer to a dead snag very close. I've also noticed M bringing her small fish pieces, twice today. Just my opinion but, I think our smart guy, M has been trying to get her to at LEAST eat something in the nest TREE...doesn't have to be the bowl. OK, so M flies in super stealth and startles her, LOL! He brings a very small piece of fish for her. She takes it, flies off to eat it on a branch nearby. M calls out to her (like "Hey honey! You know we have plenty of branches right here in our tree, so you can stay close to the nest!!!")😜 And, sure enough I guess she made a U-turn, flew right back, landed on the attic and actually began to eat her little fish right THERE.🐟 The guy has some excellent teaching skills. Hopefully, she'll begin to feel good about bringing her larger portions to nest tree branches as well. I know...I know...one step at a time, but I believe his teaching methods have always worked well on her because she's been an eager student. It'll be interesting to see how she continues to grow comfortable more & more with the tree as a "dining room" also. The entire scene is less than 6 minutes. 17:45:45 > 17:51:09 11/25/23
Lol how cute...he's just making sure safety rails and bars are in place!! Chickproofing the nest 😂 Such an amazing Dad and can't wait to see F23 as a Mom!! Ty LH ❤🎉
katd367--I share a different view of large nest outer rails being put in place. To an extent, they will deter V. young Eaglets from wandering to' Rough ' outer margins. But E's learn early where the nest boundary is and keep away from it--They watch adults come and go. Rather, i think M-15 is Stockading the outer rails higher to make it more difficult for a GHO to attack Young E's sleeping alone. They have to land to snatch an Eaglet. As well ,Mom normally is right there to engage an incoming Owl landing in the Nest.

Thank you so much for the fascinating, educational commentary that you provide, Lady Hawk. I look forward to each of your videos with detailed descriptions of M15 & F23 ❤ M15 is truly an extraordinary eagle.
If you notice in the beginning, when 23 was walking at 15 that last squawk out of her when her mouth was open, he grabbed her lower beak and pulled it up as it to say, get up. And she did. One nice trick to get her off that A is to bring her food because she flies off with it. I wish so much to have an eagle nest somewhere around! There were many but all destroyed all over by butchering forests and buiding every inch... ( south and central east Florida🥲 )
With the time they've spent off the egg, it seems like they're delaying incubation which if so, they are expecting another egg... Which usually is laid 3 to four days after the 1st one. Female eagles can only have one egg in their "shutes" at a time, ( I'm sorry @Lady Hawk I couldn't recall the exact terminology and also ty for teaching me all Ive learned about the eagles I've grown to love! ). Most female eagles are consistent with number of eggs in their clutch as well as time between the eggs laid. F23 was inching her way into my heart watching her learning and bonding with my hero M15, and now has it 100% with giving M15 his much wanted egg in addition to giving him the happiness he greatly deserves. Although since he M15 chose her, I'd have loved her simply because he does. I feel as if she was heaven sent by Queen Harriet herself, and she is happily now resting in peace. Now, am I the only one wondering if F23 will give M15 two or three eggies? She is young and they have proven to be a power couple already... I've no doubt they can successfully fledge three eaglets. Having said that though, the most important thing to me is that M15 has found his much deserved happiness. This mighty couple are in my prayers for many years of happiness together. I'm humbled to be able to watch and share their journey.. HAGD M15, F23, 🥚1 and their wonderful extended human family!

M15 jus so exicited trying to make sure his mama is well fed and baby is safe...didnt mean to startle her coming in quik on her blind side.
That amount of fluff is what J&S need in their nest to keep the eggs and eaglets warm
This chicky sure is off the nest A LOT. I don't think she gets that she is incubating the egg so it can stay warm TO GROW.
I agree. She keeps looking at it as if wondering what is this. She needs to stay put or im afraid the chick egg won't make it.
Awesome 👍
