Played this game intensively back in the day. A real work of art with a great story and brilliant gameplay. I hope it’ll be remastered on next gen consoles one day.
Since I was little I played(and finished) this gem over 5 times, and I always struggled in this mission going back to the boat after killing Tatarin because of the helicopter. Never knew you could swim back to the boat lol
The score of the entire game is fantastic. I have a feeling this is what inspired the ost for Hitman: Contracts or maybe it was the other way around? Hitman 2 had a dank orchestral score by the same composer, Hitman Contracts had this darker synth like music. Freedom Fighters has a combination. Its radical.
Used to bully a lot of time into this game myself..... Would give good money to see how he easily runs with so many weapons and ammunition, and then also swim with it all in icy water😂
I'm not from the U.S and I always thought this part of the game you actually travel to some part of Russia and kill Tatarin until today I was watching NY City on Google Earth and I discovered Governor's Island is part of New York LOL.
Recently replayed this. Glad to say that this game has aged beautifully

with the exception of the snipers in the towers, it is actually possible to sneak past all the enemies in the level

Though admittedly, the reload sound, does sound awfully bolt action like.
