I legit cried watching this as of today (12/30/2019), remembering that I was part of this when we marched down Main Street six years ago. I was with the Percussion, playing cymbals. My fondest Disneyland memory by far.
Terrance you are right about the tradition, but it began in the 1960's. The drill teams were over 60 strong and the Pageantry of today pales in comparison to those spectacular precision drill teams. Looking forward to seeing them in the Rose Parade Grad 1967
I have to give this band credit, they have kept up their tradition since the late 70's when I first saw this band at the Azusa field show. Bagpipes are there, traditional scottish dancing from the guard, and excellent esprit corps by the band members.
