This show actually kinda saved my life, before I found it, I was depressed, had been for 5 years, and On the edge of ending my life. I was browsing Netflix and found this show and heard a lot of dudes was watching it so I just tryed it, and ever since then whenever I'm sad or down I watch it. So I'm proud to be brony. /)

My first was the one of applejack and rainbowdash in fall weather friends, season 1 ep 13, when I was 5 or 6 years old, thats what started it all for me.
Now it's been over a decade
After having a very open brony friend for 4 years, I finally got around to watching the show and I'm sad I didn't watch it sooner. In the last 5 days I've watched all of season 1, and I can say it's had a direct impact on my happiness, how I handle stress, and my self confidence/acceptance. If I had found this show a few years ago, I probably could've avoided a major depressive state. I just absolutely adore the show, even if it isn't perfect. The community is just so damn talented, I've found so many amazing songs and animations already, and once I've watched the entire show (or at least until it starts going downhill, I'll see how bad it gets) it's amazing to know I'll have tons of more content like abridged versions and (good) fanfiction to enjoy. It overall reminds me of the furry fandom, which I entered last year, with how it's mocked on the outside but had some of the most talented artists and is fine besides for a small minority of (loud) people. I definitely won't be shouting out that I'm a brony (especially irl), but I won't hide or deny it
Almost 10 years ago, a little show called My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic came out. I never knew how much of an impact it would have on my life. I'm more than proud to be a brony. The fandom will live on! /)

See I'm proud of the Brony fandom. I mean there's so many amazing creators out there that make these type of videos and other things for entertainment or to express their feelings about something. The world right now is a scary place because of the pandemic, violence, snowstorm, and other negative things that are happening irl. It's good to know that us fans all know where to turn to when we're feeling down, whether it be a friend, family, or mlp media to cheer us up. While things may seem like they're not getting better and might also downgrade the fact that a lot of people thought this year would be better, just wait. We're still in the beginning of this year so maybe things might get better soon. I'm not giving out false hope either, I'm just saying to those that might see this message that you don't have to focus on the negative things all the time, there's positive things to look forward too. So just stay safe and have a good day ^^
2021. I’m almost 28 yoa. Married. Working 9-5. Just got my wife into MLP. I took a break until now and have other non MLP related hobbies. I still admire the show for it’s writing and well thought out storytelling. The mane 6 are archetypes of the human psyche. I fully believe this is why it gained so much traction. What an interesting phenomenon this show was. I’ll probably end up watching the seasons I haven’t seen with my wife at this point. It took around 3 years, but I’ve finally been able to get her to recognize the intelligence that was put into the show. It was unique, and magnified the positive elements of humanity that we so often are drawn away from in conventional adult programming. The simplicity, and the sheer resemblance to the mind and its processes are like a vacation from the negativity and, dare I say it, discord that is so rampant in modern society.
Aside from completely cutting out digital and cinematic media altogether, the next best thing would be to seek out content that can easily direct you to the most basic and somewhat simple emotions we all experience on a day to day basis. In layman’s terms, you can find programs that help you realize what you are feeling and better assist you in organizing your own thoughts. Other adult centered media tends to be so complicated that it can tangle your mind up in a proverbial labyrinth of thoughts and feelings. Ever present, but unconnected and shuffled. It can become confusing, at times, to connect with yourself.
If you can get past the occasional cheesiness and clearly child directed themes, it can assist in cultivating a well organized and connected collection of thoughts and feelings.

I still am a brony and proud of it....that being said, after four years in the fandom, I can step back and look at this show and just collapse in a fit of laughter that I ever thought this show was well written. Its clunky plot is full of holes and so contrived it makes some one star fanfics look epic.
The truth is, the show has barely anything to do with this fandom anymore. No, I'd say we have all grown up from the early days of waking up and pondering what it means to like ponies. The real beauty lies in the great people who are part of the fandom. That's the real thing to be proud of.
I just turned brony because of headhunter products. But people always say autistic people are bronies and I have a friend that's a brony he is so awesome and funny. Same with autistic people everyone says there are dumb and broken and it's just mean they never meet one.

If you can get past what initially looks like a show just for little kids, this truly is a fantastic, well written, visually appealing, overall well made show, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with liking something like this.

I haven't listened to this song in probably three or four years because I don't really consider myself part of the fandom anymore due to internal drama. Suddenly I get the itch to hear this song again and I'm immediately taken back to the good times I had with friends and at conventions and I nearly burst into tears. Even though I've moved on to be more of a passive observer and less of the hardcore brony I used to be, I'm glad to find that I can still feel those emotions I thought I left behind years ago. I know how old this video is and how old this song is and I don't care. I still feel my point is worth making. I think I just might catch up with what I've missed.

I remember listening to this song as a young pegasister. I’ve been in the fandom for 5 years by now. I started watching it when I was 13/14, next year I’ll turn 20. Mlp have taught me so much, I’m glad that I started watching the show. I may not be as big of a fan nowadays but I still watch all the episodes. I’ll really miss the show when it ends.

I've only started watching this show a few months ago but I have to say that it's one of the most united and creative fandom I've seen in a long time (seriously. The amount of fan-work on a show that has only been released two years ago is staggering). I'm definitely proud to be part of such a fandom, even if I don't have much to contribute.

This song is the reason I'm proud to be who I am. Bronies are just as normal as any other person, when I came out to my family, they were so supportive. Even my non-brony friends were supportive of me. I'm blessed to have people like that in my life. But hey, if people judge you, or call you weird, say to them, "Thank you, I'd rather be weird than normal."

I have to submit that I do love this franchise, its only been about a month but I've already found myself loving this world of My Little Ponies Friendship Is Magic, such colour, beautiful animation, funny characters and epic stories, just got to come out and admit that I would be happy to call myself a brony.
Now I wonder what to do next after making such a big step in my life.
The first time I saw FIM it was because of a RUclips ad for the season 2 finale. About a little more than a few months after (January), I went onto the Hasbro website to take a look at it. A little less than a month later, I went to a mall and bought a mystery pack toy (which turned out to be a shimmery golden Applejack), and about two weeks later, when I was sick, I saw the show on Netflix and before you know it I was watching the S1 finale. I love this show!
I'm so proud to be a Pegasister in this wonderful herd!
