Restaurant style sweet and sour chicken (Chinese style)甜酸鸡

Ingredients
- Chicken breast 450 grams
- Onions, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, orange bell pepper and yellow bell pepper 1/2 cup each
Batter
- All purpose flour 1 cup
- cornstarch 2 tbsp
- baking powder 2/3 tsp
- salt 1/2 tsp
- egg 1
- Shortening 1 tbsp
- 4/5 cup of water
Sauce
- 1/4 cup of water
- 1/4 cup of vinegar
- 1/3 cup of ketchup
- 3/4 tbsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp dark soya sauce
- 1/4 cup of sugar
Marinate the chicken
- 1/3 tsp salt
- Little bit of black pepper
- 1/2 tsp light soya sauce
